I have to agree with this. My friend got the internally gated one for his 7 blade HX35 on his 97 gsx. It never worked very well, and then the flapper actually fell off.
Yea they are crap, it was taking forever for my car to spool up. I did boost leak tests and bought a rebuild kit because I thought the bearings might be bad. Pulled the turd off the car and the wastegate was stuck open. It turns out the arm on the outside was rotating on the shaft but not moving the flapper. I ended up welding the arm to the shaft but now I wish I had gone external instead.
Travis, you got this. Those times have a high ten written all over it. You are really raising the bar and your car is running real strong and quite impressive. It's good to see someone sticking with the 5 speed (While it lasts..)
Lets not forget you have quite a bit of mod's that have yet to be done, your tires are not the greatest, and your still dialing this beast in. I can't wait to see you hook one good time. I know one thing, I'll be there....
GOOBERLOG FOR PRESIDENT!!!!
YEA! What he said ^. Haha good weekend once again. Too bad you weren't .07 faster but good job as always brah!
Well after seeing the Evo3 16g in the 10's and now a T25 into the 10's the Hx35 is definitely able. Maybe I can be the first?

So.. anyone go into the 10's on the BEP bolt on .55 A/R housing yet? (hx35)
There are a few HX35s in the tens but non with the bolt on mitsu style turbine housing.
Anyone with the BOH (bolt on housing) going to the track anymore this season?
I'll be there tomorrow running my car. not sure what to expect. It better be in the 12's or I'm not sure what to do. Transmission is on its way out the door though. Wish me luck. Island dragway for test and tune

All the hx35 user needs to decide is if he wants to strip his (or her) car down to 2000lbs or add a 150shot of NOS
netted a best of 12.9 @109 with a lower 1.7x 60ft.
This was at 30psi, launch control at 5500 on the first pass and then 5700 on the second pass.
Ewww. There's something waaaay wrong with that. You are missing about 11mph.
You have the MPH record for the bolt-on HX35.I did get a new best mph of 130mph, but couldn't run faster than 11.7
That sucks about the T-Case! I'm glad I have a spare sitting in my garage.
Well I did run an 11.1 this saturday with my .55 bep hx35, but I hit the nitrous in the middle of 2nd gear. But then the car started stumbling/hesitating at the top of 2nd because my gas tank was on super empty, so I think the fuel pump wasn't picking up fuel. But it only did it for a split second so I actually let off the spray because it went lean and then I got back on the spray in 3rd gear and said F-it. This motor has almost no compression anyway so whatever.
But honestly the best I've done without nitrous was an 11.37 so Mr. BeansblackTsi has me there.
Here's the slip, I swear if I would have had enough E85 in the tank this would have been a 10.99 pass. Just a couple weeks ago I went 6.96 @ 103 in the 1/8th.

Edit: Here's another slip. Used the spray to spool up here and then sprayed through 3rd gear, 75 shot by the way. But it's jetted super rich when in boost, AFR's are high 10's.

Then there was this run and for some reason the nitrous wouldn't activate, so I had to sit there on the line and stall up the converter without it. Then I tried to hit it mid track and only fuel sprayed so the motor bogged.

Seeing as Gabe went 10.86 @ 129, you have a definite 10-second pass on the horizon with a better 60-ft.
Thanks man! I was on E85 maxing out my stock fuel system with a wally 255hp and 1600s. I'll be upgrading to a adjustable FPR and some AN lines soon. May add a pump too. That is an extremely strong MPH with the bolt on housing! Congrats!
130 is definitely good for 10's with better track conditions
What fuel were you running by the way?
I think his 11.1 run was still on the spray. But yes he has the fastest BEP .55 HX35, 10.9 now (but again-on the spray) 11.2 is the bolt on record w/o nitrous. This ^ guy just set a new personal best on Saturday and i think has the BEP HX35 record now hopefully he gets in here and posts his slip
