I bought an engine gasket kit, so I'm planning on pulling the engine in October (when it's cooler outside) and replacing everything and cleaning everything up really good. Also replacing the clutch with an act 2100 6 puck.

Sounds good. Did a comp test, and got between 45-55 in each cylinder. pulled the head off the car, and cylinder 3 had some scratches on it. I guess now i am going to have to go .020 over with some manleys :D

Well i got my head back from the machine shop had 3 bad valves, but got that taken care of. Also bought another whole running motor, and used the block off of that for my car. Im going to build my old block on the side with the head, and hope to have it ready for the car when spring comes around.

ALSO we have been having huge turn out at our local car club meet down here. This past sunday we had STIs, SRTs, probly 20 hondas (wagons, hatchs, s2000) Rsxs, supras, bagged trucks, camaros, rx8s, TWIN TURBO SALEEN S7, Evo. Every time we get bigger, and bigger. I hope to see some of you guys interested in joining us. We normly hang out for about 3 hours, and have not had any police, or problems with us meeting at the area.

3 hours a week from this sunday we are going to have another meet at 7.

Hey if anyone is interested, there is going to be an awd mobile dyno at the Myrtle beach speedway for their 2 day drift event. It's $10 to get in and it's only $40 for 3 pulls.

When is this? I'm a local and didn't know about it?

That trip does seem like it would be alot of fun hopefully i can learn to trust my car more by then.

Well Today i found and fixed my oil leak it was the crank seal, and cam angle sensor. I had Yucki set me up with a more agressive tune im now gettin on the 2 step on 5k building 14 psi off the line, and blowing all 4 tires through first, and barkin into second LOL. The guys up at the shop said i should be into the 11s, but only me heading up to the track will tell.

How is your car commin along Palmetto havent heard anything from you in awhile i hope your still working hard on the car.

Hey if anyone is interested, I'm trying to put together a group dyno day at National Speed in Wilmington, NC around March. I'm trying to get 7 or 8 cars to go. PM me if you are interested and I'll give you more info!

I am still here, just not as much as I was at first. The car is still coming. That is about all I can say about it. I think the day I watched as the tree limb fell through the hatch glass, kinda took the wind from my sails. I haven't given up though. I really need to have a day or two off with no doctors appt, or errands to run so I can get out there and finish the engine. I also have a pretty good idea for some pretty aggressive motor mounts that should also take away the vibration that is common with the poly inserts. Now that I have access to a decent milling machine and lathe at work, I can get started on them. I will keep the rest of you posted.

Scott that Dyno day sounds great and all, but i would rather not make the trip to NC for the dyno. Couldnt we stay in SC LOL.

Palmetto you need to keep your hands at it, or your just gunna give up!

yeah man! I haven't given up... I worked a lot of OT the past few months so I haven't had a lot of time. I have also decided to just bite the bullet and go with the turbo I want along with the exhaust mani, and cams. Just do it now while the engine is on the stand rather than try to install that stuff inside the engine bay.

I made the boss order me a 3 jaw chuck for the lathe we have. Told him if we weren't gonna get the stuff we need to make it useable, we just need to get rid of it. He agreed. Now, I have access to a decent set of machinery, I am gonna start some R&D on my mount inserts.

My mounts "SHOULD" eliminate most, if not all, the vibration from our "no balance shaft" engines. The great thing is they will also keep movement from torque to an absolute minimum. This part is going to be fun!

Anyone know where I can get a complete rear hatch with rear defrost? I absolutely have to get this car back in one piece. Not real concerned with the color, so long as the seal around the glass is decent. I will replace the hatch seal myself.

yo whats up justin. Still doing alot of work to that car huh? Mine is still stock and i just clipped the 100k mile mark. Cant wait until next year so i can buy me a 2g and possibly sell this one.

Palmetto did you take the balance shaft out, or did the person before do the delete?

Man Kenny we got the car meet this sunday night at 7 o clock right down the road from my house. Last time i was out there we sent them integras home LOL. There suppose to be bringing some h22 civic with a 100 shot thats suppose to shut me down, but i doubt that I just ordered a AEM meth kit, and were switching to E85. I'm also sorry i got really tied up with my girlfriend on Monday, and totally forgot to phone you.

I'm bummed I never got to meet you guys while I was down in SC. My car is running now but I'm up in upstate NY.

Checking in from Charleston here. Wes it's too bad you're gone already, could have used your help with the Talon LOL
