picked mine up for 500$. the last owner put a timing belt on wrong and bent just about all the valves, so i put a good bit of money in it, but still payed under 2K. pretty fair i think

Talked my guy down from $19,025 to about $17,200. With tax and title it was back up to over $18,000. April 1991.

In 04 I picked up a black 96 Eagle Talon TSI FWD from an older couple who were the original owners with 43k original miles on it. $6000 Had it for 2 years exactly, put a couple grand into it, maintenance/performance wise and sold it for $8000.

In 06 I picked up a silver 99 Eclipse Spyder GST from the original owner with 54k original miles on it for $8500. I still have it as it sits on jackstands in the garage, I'll never sell this beauty LOL

I think over all out of the about 7-9 DSM I've had I've gotten pretty good deals. I've had a couple that were not so good deals but who hasn't as a DSMer??? We all got to learn from somewhere.

This week I paid $1500 for a 97 gst spyder. 125k on the body 12k on the BUILT engine.
(forged everything bored .20 over, aem fuel system, brian crower stuff, turbonetiks t03/04 etc etc.)
Needs struts (already got coilovers) and valve seals.

95 tsi 120xxx mint body and interrior but had to rebuild it WA, $900

92 eclipse gs $400 170xxx WA, needed clutch

93 eclipse gst $600 115xxx WA, needed tires

93 eclipse gst $300 140xxx WA, running&driving

97 GST Spyder with 140k miles and a few paint flaws - talked the guy down from 4500 to 2100. His wife was pushing him to sell. A month after I got it, a brand new Landrover kicked it into reverse in the middle of the street and nailed me. Now the car is at the bodyshop being cleaned up. When I get it back it will be showroom clean :)

Good things comes to those driving behind idiots in 60,000 dollar cars.

I just picked up my second.

1995 Talon TSi with a 2gb eclipse conversion started. The body is rough and it runs like it has a boost leak, but shifts smooth (auto) and is AWD too. The interior cleaned up VERY well and will make for a great winter beater until the spring when it gets blown apart for parts... $1300

$2,500 for a 1994 talon tsi awd 1gb with 140k on it ,zero rust and a butt load of mods

800 for a 1992 TSi rust free (in the rust belt (Iowa)). Did not go into gear or start. A new starter, transplant of a pp, clutch, throwout bearing, plus bleeding and taking the slack out of the clutch petal fixed those issues. Now I have an awesome TSi with a JDM motor (no cyclone intake) Throwing not one single code. Its nice to have no lights on my cluster for a change.

i traded my 93 mazda mx-3 1.8L V6 5 spd hard to find for my 1990 GST 5 spd with 182k iv had to put in both ball joints inner and outer tierods and brake lines but i think i got the better end of the deal:thumb: ### the mazda burnd about 1 1/2 Qts of oil a week:ohdamn: and both cars had the same mileage
