Gentlemen,
Be Advised, this is a public forum so please exercise OPSEC. Quit posting your units, when you guys are deploying, and missions. This may sound ridiculous to some but reality is it can happen to anyone.

Infantry officer (11A) going on 9 years. Transitioning to aviation to fly Hawks. Loving the Army life!

P.S for the first guy who posted with his picture and everything. Were you infantry first before EOD or did you re-class?

I am and always have been EOD. That was my recruiter's blouse for my "future soldier" photo.. haha..

I've been to the Whidbey Island installation before, nice place.

I'm in the Army, almost at my 1 year mark, and enjoying it. Just wish I could play with my car...

Not ridiculous at all, I worked for Naval Intelligence for 8 years and this info can actually be classified. Do you really want the enemy to know where you gonna be at.
:banghead:

6 months to ETS!! Yeaahhhhhhhh buddy

You suck LOL. Enjoy the civi life!

Still trying to take my asvab, got an 18 the first time, now I'm really studying to take it again soon, I really want to join the marines and go for infantry, jrotc in high school was fun, and it definitely was good when using the uniforms, hopefully I can use them for a career soon!

Marines here, don't go basic infantry. All my buddies hated it. I joined as Intel and soon took the Recon indoc. I passed and made it all the way through RIP and BRC so I had a primary and secondary mos. Basic infantry guys have the worst in my opinion. You're stuck with the lowest level of intellect. It's the blind leading the blind my friend. Join something that'll benefit you when you get out because your opinion of the Corps WILL change. If you want to be a lifer and still be "hard core" you can always lat move into Recon if you have what it takes. The elite of the elite.

Army, 13M (Multiple Launch Rocket System)82nd Airborne, Airborne all the way!

Dude, I know a shit ton of people that are 13M's at Bragg.. Kilgore, Speciale, Suarez..

Itd HIMARS there correct?

Thanks for the advice, I will really consider it once I get the asvab out of my way, I graduate in this December so hopefully by then I already passed and I should be ready to go.

I would agree. I would look into jobs that would be more widely marketable outside of the military.

I'm an infantryman myself, who was lucky to be seconded to my battalion's intel shop. I worked with ISR. It was a great job.

CONSIDER YOUR OPTIONS. That is all.

So i re-enlisted for 3 more years served 6 already, im SGT(p) hopefully i get my 6 soon. I am an Apache helicopter Mechanic, deployed right now in afghanistan, sorry no details.

This is us launching the aircraft out, When they go out on certain missions we put flags in the helicopter so when they come back we make a plaque to remember the mission, a good piece of history.
