Got to make a somewhat clean pass with the twin scroll hx35 setup in the auto :)

Tried to leave a little harder the next pass but the 3 bolt wasn't having it and broke an axle a couple feet out.

Surprisingly the stock flexplate and flexplate bolts are holding up great for what it's worth.

Stock 6 bolt
272's
stock trans w/ full line pressure above 0 psi
stock converter
3 bolt rear
original springs and struts with $5 limiting straps in the front :sneaky:
twin scroll hx35 at 30 psi
jackal speed density

Wtf. Broke my record. Lol. Congratulations. Those autos really get out if the hole.

I don't know hp/tq for the auto, but the dyno #'s in my profile are from when it was a 5 speed. Car was sitting around 3150 with me in it I'd guess, haven't weighed it since then auto. Full interior.

Lol sorry Bwhite. Thanks :)

I was going to comment that it almost feels like cheating but then I was too tempted to start throwing excuses on why I couldn't with the 5 spd :D

Seems to have lost 4-5 mph. I trapped 135.9 once but would be consistent 133-134 with the 5 spd.

REALLY STRONG TIMES MAN..CONGRATS

How much boost you making at the line? Did you go all out and install the TCU when you swapped?

A friend said it was making 25 psi on the 3750 2 step but I've never looked. I would guess I left at 20 psi or so. It may have bounced off the 2 step as it rolled out though.

This is a different chassis and an original auto car. Cruises around exactly like stock :thumb: Full line pressure once it goes past 0 psi.

Very nice, I have very similar setup going to do auto swap in the spring. It's great to see what's possible with the hx35 and jackal.

Congrats on the 10.5. Its funny how the 3 bolt lasted so long with the stick. Then, after you swap to an Auto ( supposed to stress drivetrain less) you pop an axle. Now swap an 8.8 live axle in there and let her rip.

I still can't believe how well those limiting straps work in the front! Compared to what your car used to look like leaving the line it is much more planted in the front.

Congrats again Matt, sorry I crapped out on going to the track that morning but I thought there would be lots of rain. Lol glad it held out for you!

HX35 Record holder! Then again that's a great record in itself with a stock internaled motor, trans, and 3 bolt rear end! This is an amazing example of a BUDGETself built car.

Awesome job man, car looks damn good! What are you using for limiting straps if you don't mind me asking? Some tie straps or something? Good stuff though man :hellyeah:

Thanks everyone!

I will have to get pics of the limiting straps up sometime. Same materials as Mike Bender used(not my pics):

My mounting points were a little different obviously and I will probably just reinforce them over the winter since it worked out well. I really couldn't tell daily driving it that they were on, either.

I never really tried to leave that hard on the 5 speed :p The extreme angle from stock springs may have had something to do with it snapping the axle. The other car had stiffer springs and agx's even though I doubt that matters much. I never launched the 5 speed at Byron with hoosiers on either... I've only been to GLD with them which never works out too well.

I'm running the stock 12cm^2 housing still with a twin scroll manifold.

Nice runs, wish my twin scroll hx35 setup performed this well. Maybe I need to look into an auto.
