They are all over colorado. I didnt think that there would be any out here either but there are quite a few. Working on getting a meet set up or atleast a group of us to chill. But being down in the denver area they should be everywhere.

I see 1 or 2 a month, around here. But its a good chance because of the economy, know one wants take there's out.

In Denver/Thornton there is a couple of us but no one has the balls to race at the track, i have random ppl come up to me at Bandi and say they rarely see Tuners/ DSM at the track so it sucks that no one goes to track and just races the street's.

I know I'm from Oregon but I think the problem is people are setting up meets on elitiest sites instead of tuners because of the fact that a lot of newbies use this site and they all want to circle jerk to how special they are. They seem to hate the very existance of a site that helps people who are new to cars and don't know everything about everything, even if they don't themselves.

Prime example is DSM purity.

There are plenty around. And plenty go to the tracks. You have to remember there is a huge following of Galants and Colts/Mirages here as well. I see plenty of mitsu tuner stuff all the time. Granted there are some Evos in the mix, but they are still around.

But you have people like me who pretty much hate dsms, but love their engines. I am stuffing one in a 1947 Dodge truck right now. That and I have a 1989 Eagle Summit I am converting from n/a to turbo. That car will be ready before the end of the month.

Rocky Mountain DSM use to be really active and Colorado DSM is around, but not too busy these days either. Those two sites are your locally. Most of the guys like myself have been messing with them for over 10 years. Some are in their 40's and 50's now. And there is even a guy in loveland who is 67. So you won't see those guys out much with their cars. We still think about these things every day and work on our cars at least a few days a week. So our group still is going strong. Infact, we are leaving for a race in Utah early next week with a 91 talon.

I love to see the 47 dodge truck with a 4g63 in it.

Last time I was a bandimere I seen two other dsm's, Honda's seem to be ruling there :(

well i'd love to hang out but my engine and tranny are being built and money is slowly going to these efforts so i don't get out ther like i'd love to but im always looking out for other DSM'ers to shoot the crap with in the northglenn area=)

Honda's do run Bandi there is a lot like 15 or more but ya i hardly see Galants or mirages, there is one blue 2G that runs 13.5 who is a frequent racer at Bandierme a older gentleman

There is still quit a bit dsms out here in longmont! hardly see galants or mirage's though but im not even driving my dsm yet but soon!! soon

Hey this is Marcus Carter, I am a local dsm guy out of aurora co. I am big time into drag racing up here, and there are a few guys up here that still have there dsm's. Most guys are still working on there projects or have put them on hold around here that I know.

I've been into DSM's for a decade now and I finally have the opportunity to own a 95 GSX. I'm would love to meet up with some fellow DSM guys/ gals in Colorado. In down in Fountain.

i drive my gst on the daliy man i also live pretty close to you and hae about 5 or 6 buddies in thornton with running "DIZZUMZ" just go to sonic every once and a while we are always there. and at bandi every week. well not now but we will be next spring!!:D

I'll be in fountain on the 29th, stop by Pikes Peak International Raceway(7am-4pm), there should be a couple of DSM'ers racing.

Won't see me at the dragstrip though, I like taking turns ;)

Maybe some time in the next few months or weeks we can set up a meet in Denver or Golden or something.

It will be a few weeks for me before I get the car back to driving status being that I broke the T-case input shaft off and ripped off the drive shaft Yolk and U-joint at the track on the second to last test and tune.

i am new to dsm but always down to meet new people. any one now about unstable idle problem

i am new to dsm but always down to meet new people. any one now about unstable idle problem

This is probably not the place to ask this question considering there are a million posts in the forums on this topic. Probably your IACM, read these Terry's Talon Troubleshooting Tips #3 - Fast Idle (aka. Idle Surge) Idle Surge FAQ or more then likely a boost leak.

I imagine that people don't see our cars as much no days because they are probably broken and sitting in someones garage that doesn't have enough $ to fix them so they just sit and collect dust. 90-91's are now collectors so they are getting rarer due to everyone crushing parts cars. I live in colorado 6 months out of the year but my car stays in MN otherwise I would hang out.

Lets be honest this is a dieing breed and its sad because dsms are the way to go when it comes to cheep effective performance. I dont want any hating when i say this but i am 16 and i got my 90 TSi AWD from my grandpa whoi bought it new and since i got the car i have learned how great they are. i FINALLY found a shop that does performance upgrades on dsms and its hopefully gonna be a great car when im done. DSMs arent completely dead though, i have three friends that have 1gs and another with a 2g. We make sure to cruise a lot to keep dsm alive.

Finally i bought it in august and now finally rollin' in it.Almost 1000 miles since i got it fixed. Pretty quick car for being nt!:hellyeah:
