Hello Everyone,

Let me first introduce myself letting everyone know a little about me. Firstly, I'm 25, I live and grew up in Mesa, Az. I am into cars, computers, and music. I can play the guitar, drums, and started on the trumpet(although I doubt I can just pick it up where I left off).

This is the first DSM I've owned, and I traded my old car, a nissan 280zx turbo for it. I needed a four seater car for my family, so the z was not able to be kept. Problem is, this car that I traded for didn't have all the parts that I thought it was going to have. It has now become a project car.

A link to a walkaround of the car can be found here:

Not sure what I was thinking in the video when I said I needed to fix the upper ball joint(other than a boot fix of course). I just got the car and hadn't noticed the guy took mostly all of the front suspension apart and it was just loosely slapped together.

I had made a start on the car and was planning on slowly getting a few parts at a time, getting it going since a bunch of parts are missing. Also, earlier this week I was laid off from my job, so the car has now become less of something I can put money into for the time being. I do, however, still want to get it running, and figured I'd add in my post that if anyone is feeling charitable and would like to donate some parts, I'd be willing to cover shipping and whatever assistance I could offer over the phone for things like computer issues viruses etc. I have worked for both Microsoft and Apple.

Here is a list of parts I need in no particular order:
Engine(4g63 of course 7 bolt):
Injectors, all four
exhaust manifold(the guy gave me a 14b turbo without a manifold)
cv halfshafts for the front
air flow meter
Intercooler and piping
radiator
a/c compressor
a/c condenser
BOV
Radiator fan(1)
Alternator

Body
lights
drivers side handle(exterior)
side skirts
hood
bumper

Again this is for anyone who has extra parts around and is feeling charitable. I am willing to barter any service or knowledge I have in the process. Any suggestions I am open to, and I will keep updating as parts keep getting removed from the list. Just because of circumstances I am not going to let this stop me from fullfilling a dream to have this car put back together!:rocks:

Thank you to all who view this, and to all who help!

Sincerely,
Eric Hague

why of course a 7 bolt engine? 6 bolt would be better especially since you ain't got a 4G63 of any sort right now..

Welcome to the boards!

Have fun with it..

One thing though, I don't believe you bought this with the intentions of having it as a family car.. yeah, it has 2 seats in the rear.. but that's just for insurance purposes.. Come on now really... :p

Yup, as soon as you put anyone over 4FT tall in either of the front seats the back seats become non-existant.....but, welcome to the site!! Hope you can get some good parts and info!

UNLESS you have an auto, then you can just cram up against the steering wheel.

Either way OP, good find. AWD's are hard to find and it seems like you found yourself a nice project to invest in.

Good luck and welcome!

I totally didn't realize I had this post in here moved, so I posted another one today, DARN it. Eh noob move, I'll take it this time, but no more after this haha. Yeah my intentions weren't for "family" oriented. It was more for more than two people in the car as my 280zx was only a two seater haha. Thanks all who posted replies!

As for the rare find, its the only reason I traded a perfectly running z with 6500 miles on the engine for it. I knew it was a gem, and that I would bite the bullet of not having a running car for a while. Not to mention(although I am mentioning haha) the 50 miles I had to tow my z one way to him, then another 50 to get the Talon back home.

As for the of course 7 bolt, I was making the correlation to the 2g and 7 bolt since the engine was out, and also meaning there was no swap done to the 6 bolt prior to me obtaining it. I'll be okay with the 7 bolt for now. If I find a 6 bolt to be better for me, I'll change it out later. :D
