Hey everyone, sorry if I sound stupid or noobish but this is my 1st time doing this and I want to get it right.

So I just installed T28 Turbo with 750cc injectors and 255 Walbro and AFPR from STM.

I just ordered this
STM - AEM UEGO WIDEBAND GAUGE

I recently pulled my downpipe from my 2g.

That is the stock bung for the 02 sensor

I plan on welding a new bung farther back for the UEGO wideband.

The car hasn't been tuned yet. its a 98 GSX so im gonna run the ECU reflash and my firends dyno he has the Matrix 2.0 port for misubishis and they use EVO SCAN so their gonna do it.

My question was everyones saying I somehow wire it to my ECU or something for tuning purposes. Confused help me out from here. Im guessing it has to be wired into the ECU somehow for datalogging which confuses me, where do I wire this and does it come in the kit i ordered from STM tuned.

Yeah I did people talk about wiring straight to DSM LINK, im not using that:(

the link you just posted I understand what to do till here

"Now its time to wire up the 4pin harness.
-RED (Power) Connect to a 10v-18v power source.
-BLACK (Ground) Connect to a clean grounding point.
-WHITE(Analog Output) Connects to any auxiliary unit with a 0-5v input.
-BLUE(Serial Output) Connects to a RS-232 com port. (This output is optional)"

Obviously the red wire goes to the battery
Black is a ground

And blue and white im lost.

I just called STM asking where to wire the white wire to and they said they usually just look at the gauge and the dont wire it into the ECU. Im so confused its ridiculous.

First, that is not the stock bung for an o2 sensor on your car. The stock o2 sensor locations are in the o2 housing (upstream) and after the catalytic converter (downstream). Someone probably put that bung in for a wideband sensor. But as you mentioned, I would move it further downstream to after the bend in the downpipe at least.

I am fuzzy on the details of the AEM output, but typically what people will do is wire up one of those outputs from the sending unit to the rear o2 sensor input on the ECU. Then in DSMLink you can configure it to know that is a wideband, and not the rear o2 sensor and it will log and display the data. However, since you don't run DSMLink, I'm not sure what the proper way to do it is. You may want to contact AEM directly for some specific instructions.

Why was a second thread needed? Enlighten me...

Sorry LandoAWD, I wanted to explain my situation more in depth not as openly as the last one. Like here I have my setup and without DSMLink.

I thought on a 95-99 Eclipse there was a stock on further up like my picture? Theres currently an o2 sensor in this bung connecting to my engine bay.

Does anyone seem to know where all the stock o2 sensor holes are on a 2g?
