hello
i need to know what each one of these wires are for on this plug? i could not find a schematic that would tell me and i figure some one has to know here. im having problems with my battery light coming on and off and my battery is fine i noticed the insulator around the wires going in to this plug are starting to crack so i think i need to find a new plug but was also wondering what each one does.

ok so i had my alt and battery checked and they are fine so next thing is this plug i did take a look at it and the red wire and black and yellow wire are pretty messed up right were they go in to the plug. so were can i get another one of these plugs with about 6 inch of wire off them? or do i have to go find it off a junked car i really need this asap as this is my daily driver.

i just thought i would share with you guys a help full link in case you break your alt clip like i did or your wires break off like mine from old age. here is a link to a site that sells replacement plugs with wires on it ready to wire in and go.

I bought one of those plugs recently and first off, the plastic is rather flimsy and would probably end up cracking/breaking after a few years (or less), but that would be fine to replace an entirely destroyed plug if only the latch for the retaining clip actually mated properly with the alternator (I could just pull it and it would come unplugged).

There are other sellers out there with similar items, but I have no idea if they're the same or different than the one I received.
