ok im in trouble. so heres what happend i am moving and had my talon (90 tsi awd) STUFFED full and i had to drive up a preety steep hill 8% grade. well all was good boost was at about 12lbs had to work it. all the sudden i start losing power and then a funny noise and lots of smoke. white smoke. so i quickly pull over shut it down. jump out and pop the hood. lots of blue smoke. i have a leak in my exhuast just after the o2 housing well oil is leaking out of it. the coolent hose the connects to my throttle body popd off and dumped coolent all over. put it back had car towed. checked fluids no mixing. refilled and tryed starting it started right up idled kinda off. reved bunch of smoke out of exhaust. shut it off and oil had sprayed out of my exhaust leak. ill post as i check things any suggestion on what might have happend. blown turbo? rings?valve stems?. HELP PLEASE MY BABYS HURT:cry:

Do a compression test, to see what readings, are, turbo seals could be bad, valve stem seals, could be any of those things do a compression test first.

I second the compression test. If all 4 cylinders have good compression then youre rings are good and youre turbo seals are most likely bad. turbo and valve seals wont really make youre car run weird, just smoke.

sadly i wont be able to do much for a little while in the middle of moving from idaho back home to montana. all ive checked was to see my plugs and they were compleatly clean and theres only a little bit of shaft play.

Do a compression test, possible the turbo or head gasket. I would say head gasket and the hose was the weak link in the coolant system and the turbo boosting popped it off.

so i couldnt stand waiting to do something so i took my exhaust manifold off to see if there was oil in the exhuast ports. Becouse with how much oil was in my exhaust, the ports should be covered in oil if it was coming from the engine. but good news they were clean. im still going to do a compression test when im done moving but its looking like the turbo. which is weird cus theres really no shaft play but it dosnt spin very smooth.

ok so i finally got that turbo off and about $#!%^ myself my hot side turbine was sitting in my o2 housing WTF. so my turbo is done. i had a tdo4 on there just so i could drive it. time to stop putting it off and rebuild my tdo5.
