hi all

i have Some questions for rebuild my engine

i got eclipse 93 ( europe eclipse ) 4g63 7 bolt .

My question is simple :

I am looking for pistons and rods is Appropriate to my 4g63 7 bolt .

For example:
CP Pistons Eagle Rods Combo for Mitsubishi 4G63 7 Bolt | eBay

7 bolts its a 2G dsm right ?
So what is it called for 1G dsm in ther ?
becuse i know 1G its 6 bolt 90 - 94 right ? in ( usa ) . and 92.5-94 ( europe ) its 7 bolt ..
Correct me if I'm wrong..

Or it really does not matter which generation is suitable for
The main thing is that by the number of bolts of engine ?!

I'm a little confused by the whole thing already..:|

thanks for help . :)

Its the number of bolts that connect the flywheel to the crank but it does matter. 92.5 and up are 7 bolt. Anything older than that is a 6 bolt. Why rebuild the n/t? Why not go turbo while you can?

why >? becuse my engine got crankwalk or somthing like that ..
swap it to new 4g63T its expansive . and used .
So I want to build my engine according to the requirements.. its same like swap but much much better ... :)

Just rebuild it with stock parts, swap inst expensive lots of parts available, block, turbo 14b cheap, labor i did, ebay helped a lot just for a stock car. under 600 bucks for all my stuff, i got a free block you can use the non turbo head.

swap its expansive for me not for u guys .. belive me i know what iam talking .. ;)

i see .. but i dont want to put turbo on it and go 0.5 bar ...

i build a serious engine make more then 400hp ..

14b and that stuff its weak for me :)

Well, dont know what to tell you, so what do you want out of your nt? Do they have part stores over there, i would go that route rather than ebay im sure probably around the same price for your non turbo car. 6 bolt for your 93 im pretty sure. Again just rebuild your engine stock.

Not because it walked. Only you would know that. I blew up my 93 when the balance shaft belt took out my timing belt and figured it was a perfect opportunity to do my turbo swap instead of next year at tax time. I just don't get why you wouldn't do the same. It can get expensive but you have to pay if you want to play.

swap to another 4g63t engine ? like 6 bolt ?
or what ?
sry . i dont understand

The blocks are the same between the n/t except for a few things like the piston oil squirters and the compression ratio of the pistons. So you could swap in turbo pistons into a non turbo block and essentially make a 4g63t. But yes. Im doing a 6 bolt swap into mine just ### I got a head and block that are pretty much broken in for around $400.

Yes that's what I want to do.

pistons & rods . Valvesprings & Retainers . Valves .

- ACL Race Main\Rod Bearing + ARP Main Studs = I already have

Builds the engine by Parts I want..

Nope. You shouldn't have to worry about them. They keep piston skirt temperatures down so the engine runs cooler but it shouldn't really effect you.
So wait. Are you rebuilding it to be a turbo motor or just a rebuilt n/t?

You say that oil squirters should not bother me to build the turbo engine?

The lack of oil squirters will not be an issue if you are running forged pistons unless you get into endurance racing.

Just to clarify, you are planning on building you N/T block into a high horsepower turbo build and just want advice on what parts to use for your block, right?

Are you still using the build list you posted in your other thread? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/392409-building-my-n-engine.html I guess I just don't know exactly what you are asking for.

Do not get me wrong, I do want to continue to build this by my list.

I checked and saw that bringing the engine (from ebay or someway ealse ).. would be expensive for STOCK, so I prefer to keep my list ..

Just I'm confused a bit about some of it so for that matter I ask here ..
