But my PTE6776 has lost 2 CHRA to hot housing bolts every day the last couple days, and the flange to manifold has come loose twice..this is odd cause usually they are rusted tough LOL pulling the manifold and turbo to drill and safety wire everything on it. I'll post some pics. no real point to this but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this happnening on a consistant basis before?

I had this happen to me on my 16g with the FP housing. I accidentally cross-threaded them so watch out for that. I used Lock-tite and solved my problems...after a new hotside that is.

I had the nuts on the back of the housing to downpipe bolts on my conquest shake themselves off one time... Never did figure out what caused it though because I replaced them and they were fine afterwards.

I just finished removing them all (turbo to manifold as well as CHRA To hot housing) and drilled them out on the mill for safety wire. they shall not pass again :D, now i'm too sore to put it back together and definitely not motivated to make the new 3" DP (been running a mild steel 2.5 for 13 years) LOL

These have been really weird, i mean i have teightened them to where i think the wrench is about to round them off at least 3 times and within 20 miles they are half backed out, 2 missing etcc,,,,,

Yea, I actually have a 10" long piece of SS flex wasted on a 2.5 mild steel down pipe LOL I'm not sure what the issue is causing it but I used a LONG piece of SS safety wire and looped all the CHRA bolts in one continuous section that then went up and wrapped all 4 manifold/flange bolts as well. Then i took some more pieces on the back and tightened up all the long stretches, these things should NEVER come lose again (or at least i hope not, it kills me to do this kinda bent over work.. my bad vertebre just keep stabbing at me and i half to rest about every half hour for a half hour and take meds.

well, they passed the maiden voyage but my dumb ass left the hardest T-bolt clamp to install only partially tight because i stopped midway after cutting the shit out of my hand while tightening it and then forgot to get it the rest of the way LOL, had to do it on the side of the road in traffic..always fun!

I do have a nice increase in both spool and boost recovery to report though :D

the manifold to flange gasket was SHOT, there was only 2 little edges of it left from being a brand new copper one on install hahah also where the CHRA was coming loose the little plates showed tons of signs of leakage as well.. definitely running better all sealed up (but it always ran real nice the first time I left the house after snugging them up but the new flange gasket made os SS and secured nicely took care of any leakage pre-turbo
