There are an infinite amount of solar systems. This galaxy has about 100 billion stars. There are also roughly 200 billion observable galaxies. Basically its infinite man. The odds of us being the most intelligent is just not very good, when its been proven that life has existed on other planets. Thats all i was getting at.

Read the link, scientists estimate the age of the universe, the entire thing, to be 13 billion years old...that would be the proof that it is not a hundred billion years old, it's really a simple concept. Age of civilization in the universe cannot be older than age of universe, simple deduction problem.

The arguments in this thread sound a lot like the ones that another member used to get into all the time...

Most of this thread is just retarded. It's pretty sad that there are still people out there that need to believe we didn't land on the moon for some reason, and that an argument got started over a fictional Hollywood movie in the first place.

I said that i meant millions and corrected it already. billions didnt even make sense with what i said in that same post. Clearly a typo. I apologized for the mistake and confusion.

The problem is everybody started out by saying that they are taking more qualified people's findings into account. You tried to disprove that, and then you used it to prove what you thought was right. You are a hypocrite. Since, I still have not stated whether I believe we went to the moon or not, or if intelligent life exists or not, nothing you say is relevant.

No one here is doubting or denying that there is intelligent life elsewhere. There probably is, simply because it is more likely that there is than there isn't. This is about this stupid movie, which is already being touted (in many places) as a documentary of a true event. Then it went to if we landed on the moon or not, which I don't know, both sides of the fence have equally stupid and valid points.

The point is...this movie does not depict anything that really happened.
