Looking at running dsm link on my car. It already has a gm 3 inch maf translater on it.I am wondering if link has the ability to tune a holset hx 52 powered dsm to its full potential. Most everything ive looked into on this subject has been a debate on which is better, I want a honest opinion from somebody who has experience using both devices. I am looking at link because it is more of a simple tuning device for someone to tune, this will be a dedicated drag car.

I take it you haven't even read up on what ECMLink is have you? Think of it as a cheaper AEM EMS with a few less features.

Could somebody explain to me what this speed density is does, it replace the maf translater or work with it. I have done some research on the dsm link I know some of the things it features is 2 step, boost by gear, rev limiter, timing maps and fuel control. Most everything I have found is more of a debate instead of capabilitys of link. I have always ran fuel controllers on my cars so this will be a new experience for me.

Let me google that for you

You have that backwards. The MAF-T is the simple piggy-back "tuning" device; ECMLink is a full-blown ECU management and logging system.

Translator doesn't control squat. ECMlink is proven up to 1000 hp...hellllooooo ets 1gb :).

ok thanks guys you have me dead set on dsm link now.Its cheaper and more simple sounds all around like a better deal to me.

Good choice you can always go with the Lite version until you need the options that full provides if you are on a budget.
