With hurricane Irene a few hours from visiting where I live and preparing for the storm I got to thinking owning a DSM makes me a little more prepared for disasters than the average person and here are a few of the reasons why:

1) I have A LOT of zip ties

2) When your car breaks often and without warning you always carry necessary supplies and tools everywhere you go.

3) With the car breaking without warning you need to be innovative and be able to think on the fly and MacGyver things together to get going until it can be properly addressed.

4) You're always in a mental state of prepared-ness (this word will work) for disasters since anytime the car breaks you consider it a disaster normally causing the largest impact on your income (also true with natural disasters).

5) You already have helped yourself and others who are broken over come their/your "disaster" when ever it arises.

Feel free to add more if you like.

Bring spare parts that you can carry just to be careful if your old parts go bad, you can swap it put real quick, bring fluids incase you run out or if it spills, and bring jb weld because ypu never know whatlly brake haha

I just fitted a tow hitch to my DD turbo 1g. Everywhere I go I pull my spare 1g shell so I always have spare parts :thumb:

Lmao. That would be an amazing sight to see.

Speaking of this ##### we call Irene... Any dangers of driving a DSM threw a flood? Do i have to worry about the smic??

would be wary of deep puddles of flooded streets. hydro locking a motor sucks ass

it was pretty cool. he had all the lights wired into the harness from the main car. he did an amazing job making it.

Awh man. So you can suck up water from the ic?? (I've never had a turbo car... let alone a car... its my first. :coy:)

thru the air intake. the ic is sealed other wise you wouldn't make boost. but a 6"-1' deep puddle is enough to get water into your intake since it sloshes in the engine bay.

Ohh okay good.
Im not ganna get hit that hard (or so i hope)

Ps. I feel like such a bad ass saying 'ganna' instead of 'going to' The Hangout FTW!
