I just moved to clarksville from colorado with a 92 eagle talon tsi awd that I just bought. I'm not new to cars but new to tuners. Would really like some help with the car, it'd be greatly appreciated. I've drove around a couple of times looking for dsmer's but have only seen like 2 other ones. Just send me a txt whenever, I'm usually awake. Thanks for the help, my number is 719-320-2008.

I'm actually in the nashville/antioch area which is about an hour away.....but im down their frequently since my brother lives there... Most us dsm guys are actually normally broke down working on our dsms LOL...I do know their are a couple of guys here who live down their....welpkbai I believe is one of them

Yea I've only seen one 1g and two 2g's driving around. One of the 2g's is the n/a one too. So not many people to talk too for advice and help around LOL

hit me up man im only an hour away LOL and ive got a few connections and buddies who have dsms around here....the clarksville scene is pretty big...they are just mostly military and either shipped out or just not around

I am still new as well and live in Dickson but drive to Clarksville on the weekdays. My 2g is my daily driver, but trying to do a few things to it as well.

My 1g is my daily driver as well. I took the heat shield off and found 3 cracks on the top of my headers!! not to mention I think I need a new clutch and fly wheel. I can feel that I'm not getting full power, I just don't have the cash to fix it right now. I wanna buy ported evo 3 headers and O2 sens but not to sure if they'll bolt right up with no problem. ### that combo is only like $300 bucks.

just port a 2g manifold out and run a ported t25 o2 housing you will get plenty of response and it bolts right up....the evo setup does too but the 2g setup is almost as efficient and half the price

I think id rather spend just a little more extra cash on the evo parts tho. I just don't know how to go about tuning it, ### you can't just plug n play like all th new cars LOL

You do know the evo3 is the exact same engine as yours but with a slight bump in compression on the pistons and a bigger turbo right? LOL the manifold will bolt right on and if you run a 16g than as long as u run stock boost u dont need a tune....but when u want to crank boost u will need the 550cc injectors off the evo and than tune those bad boys in

Yea I knew that, but I figured to get the best out of the parts was to tune it.

In the end yes....but the 16g and e3 manifold setup is so close to oem theirs almost no need if kept at stock boost....

if anything just get an eprom ecu get it socketed and chipped to run 550cc injectors e3 16g and u should be set.

btw if you want a learning experiance maybe u can come to my place somtime this week and help me put this motor in my car and such LOL

That's what I don't look forward to. My engine has 258000 on it now and runs strong, but in the back of my mind, I know the day is coming when I will have to change it out. Hopefully it's not too big of a chore.

Dude I would so love to go help you do that shit!! But I don't have any cash for gas or anything, the move here and getting an appt n shit drained me LOL! That's why I haven't ordered any new parts or anything for my car yet. If I wanted to go tubular manifold what would you recommend? ### I found some on extremepsi.com that'll bolt up to my stock tubor and everything. ### I really wanna build it pretty good. I just gotta save up and get caught up first. So I don't really wanna spend money on parts that'll get replaced anyways.

Yea dude you might wanna start looking for a new motor LOL! I had a 93 1.8 with about 235,XXX and I thought that was bad. It ran strong as well, till I gave it to my little sister and she blew the motor LOL!

Honestly you're best bet if you want a very durable manifold is stay with a cast one....the tubulars arent as strong but look great LOL

i have a tubular on mine but will only stay on long enough for me to get a forced performance manifold....fyi look for one of those you will not be dissapointed i promise.

and hell 6 bolt turbo motors are a dime a dozen....i have a spare one but is being traded off for some new parts for the laser

Yeah. I live around Clarksville / Ft.Campbell area. If you need help with something, contact me through PM's and ill see what I can do. Really busy lately with classes starting however.

PS: Someone find me a clean 2g gst/gsx :(

Good luck with your build man, There are at least 4 DSM'rs in clarksville including myself that are deployed untill the begining of next year.

Yea I know, and I'm pretty bummed that everyone is gone LOL! I need help installing a boost gage. I can do everything else, I've already replaced my headers and I'm about to start working on the clutch and flywheel. But I can't figure out the boost gage LOL!

just get some vacuum T fittings from vatozone and splice it into your fuel pressure regulator line or any vacuum/boost line. If you want to see it at night you should tap it into your dimmer switch, theres a write up on how to do that here.

edit: boost gauge so easy

I know you guys say its easy, but I came from the v8 world and know nothing of turbos n all that good stuff. I could just bolt on parts and plug n play with that car LOL. Thanks for the advice tho, ill learn eventually LOL.

you will get it man...just read and learn its not much different than a v8 just 4 less cylinders and a turbocharger....all you gotta know is which lines are vacuum and which lines arent! alot of people tap into the fuel pressure regulator and the brake booster for a boost gauge

true. im in afghanistan right now, have 6 more months, then back to clarksville. im looking at getting my third dsm when i get back. maybe we can chill.

Well if anyone is in town and would like to help with the boost gage just let me know and ill order the parts LOL
