Details: Car is a '90 AWD on a 14b turbo, with no a/c but I want to keep the cruise control. The FMIC is the ETS 7" street kit.

Problems:

1. The TB elbow that came with the ETS kit goes directly into the cruise control/throttle cables; what have people done to get around this problem?

2. The piping has been cut into wierd shaped pieces and there are pieces that don't even look like they belong to the ETS kit. If anyone has detailed pictures of the piping on their 1g with ETS piping, I'd love to see it and maybe I can make some sense of the pipes I have.

3. Where exactly are people bolting their core onto? Are you drilling and taping into the bumper support to bolt it on? The brackets don't seem to line up with any factory bolt holes.

Any help is much appreciated, I need the car running by next weekend.

Please snap some pics, I had this same kit and never had fitment issues. I had deleted the AC and still had cruise too. The only modifications you should have to make is to cut a small piece out of the radiator support and make some small cuts to the bumper to get it to fit perfectly.

Here's are the pictures showing the interferance with the cruise control/throttle cables:

Here are all the pipes it came with, some of the silver ones have been cut and it looks like the black ones were something homemade.

UMM..WTF.. Why is your throttle cables siting on your battery?

Well the cruise control isn't bolted down, but its in the factory location. '90 model years had different cruise controls. Plus it looks wierd since I lowered my battery.

That's the factory location on 90's..I knew there were some differences but damm..It just looks weird to me having a 91+..Mine is behind the intake manifold..

You just learned me something about 90's..

Yep, from what I understand, the '90 model's cruise control is electric, and '91-94 is vacuum powered.

Back on topic, anyone have any suggestions?

Thats not a ETS kit. It looks like a universal kit from ebay or something. That would explain the cut pipes. Check there site. ETS 90-94 1G DSM Eclipse Complete Piping Kit

Yes, I've seen the pictures on ETS's site, but I bought this kit being told it was a ETS kit, and the pipe's would be different than on that picture because this was made for a blow-thru MAF. Are you sure its not ETS piping? I don't know what the ETS piping for a 1g with blow-thru MAF looks like so I can't compare.

This Is all I got for ya..I guess I'll have to figure it out too when I get a FMIC..

What?! Really? You've got to be kidding me! :pROFL

I'm sorry to say, but yeah...that is not an ETS kit at all.

Dammit, that sucks. I guess I'll see if anyone has actual ETS piping for sale or I'll have to buy new pipes on Monday.

And please, for the love of Pete, tell me this is an actual ETS core.

As one of the oldest ETS dealers I can tell you with 100% certainty that the "kit" you have was not manufactured by Extreme Turbo Systems. Sorry to say, but you were lied to and probably paid way more than you should have.

1)ETS doesn't sell aluminum piping.
2)All of ETS's pipes have nicely bead rolled ends.
3)ETS has never and will never make a j-pipe like the one you have pictured.
4)Weld quality and the piping finish are NOWHERE near ETS's quality.
5)That core is also not manufactured by ETS.

It's pretty shady that somebody lied to you and sold you some garbage and used ETS's good name to make the sale. Out of respect for ETS it would be really nice if you changed the title of your thread so people don't skim across it without reading the details of this thread and think that ETS sold you a poorly made kit.

Good luck with everything. If you want to get a real ETS 7" street/strip kit just hit me up and I will hook you up!

Well I'm certainly not happy...but after looking at pictures, my core almost looks like the PR core (just going off looks and the bracket tabs).

This really sucks...

If anyone has a genuine PR or ETS kit for a 1g with 1g BOV for sale, PM me.

Thanks for the help guys.

AGREED!

Those pictures do not look like any ETS kit I have worked with.

I currently have the ETS FMIC street version on my vehicle. If you check out pictures of my intercooler in my gallery.

That piping you have is definitely no ETS brand or style. ETS uses SS piping that's durable and thick. Those pipes look like aluminum ebay piping.

ETS makes some of the best profucts on the market for our DSMs. If you are going to get quality piping and a quality core (ETS uses a )

EDIT:
another thing you want to consider is to bead the end of those end tank inlet and outlet. They dont looked beaded and it will only help to prevent boost leaks.
