I'm just shopping around, and I found this car. I first found it in May, but the owner took it off the market. He now has it back up for sale.

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST

As a side note, the shop that did the body and paint is amazing, and has sent cars to SEMA shows before. The engine was also compression tested and had a cylinder leak-down done be a very credible shop too. Thanks for the help.

Mods dont mean shit to me i would pay for the car not his mods. His money in mods means my time in checking it over to see if its done right.

I personally like the kit, so I could care less whether or not he has the originals still.

Well the title was "What Do You Think?" I think if you like this body kit over the 2gb oem kit your smoking ROCKS !

It appears to be fairly clean. I would go check it out, go over the body with a fine tooth comb, drive it, make sure it shifts smooth. Then pop the hood and check everything out. BOV's can be replaced oh so easily. I agree that the front bumper cover gives the car kind of a funny front end look, but if you like it, you're the one buying it so that's that. I would try to get the car and hood for $3200-$3500. Not a horrible deal at all I don't think.

i dont see a problem with it..all that cosmetic body stuff is an easy fix if you have the resources... definately low ball him and see if he will reduce price by keeping some of the parts you might not want on there in the first place..looks clean other than that..

Not a body kit fan, but if it's what you like and want, then have at it. Just check it over as you would any other car. OBVIOUSLY!!!

Damnit mine says page not found when i click...I hate it when i try to view old craiglist adds and it does that.

I would buy it. I personally do not like the body kit but you can always go online/scrapyard and get stock ones. Then sell the old kit and probably make money. Looks clean though.

I stopped an looked at it today for a while. The car is very sound mechanically, but I did find a few problems.

1. It is not recirculated. I'm a little disappointed there. However, it was idling almost the entire time I was looking at it (almost 2 hours) and never stalled or cut out, despite the idle control never having been touched.
2. The AC needs to be recharged, or it could be worse.
3. The horns don't work.
4. It has a rust spot above the rear driver side wheel well, and the front of the same well as rusted pretty bad along the bottom.
5. The top of the roof could use to be repainted at some point in the near future.

Aside from that, the car is beautiful. The interior is absolutely perfect, and looks brand new. Everything has been done professionally by shops, so there really aren't any hack-jobs on it. The guy also has all of the records down to even oil changes (come on, really? you can't do your own oil changes?). If the AC just needs to be recharged and the rust is not too bad (I'm going to have it looked at by a mechanic), I think I will be able to get it for a lot cheaper than they are asking. The is the first time I drove an eclipse, and I was very shocked at how hard it pulls. The car isn't registered, so I didn't even push it very hard.

How much would it cost to recirculate the BOV if I did it myself?

Assuming the intake tube to the turbo has a provision for recirculation you can get the OEM recirculation tube from JNZ for about 15$ shipped, and a recirculation fitting for the HKS SSQV can be gotten off ebay or some of our supporting vendors for around 10$ plus shipping.

Actually ebay has them for about 30 dollars or so. I got mine free when I ordered my SSQV from jay racing. I emailed him and asked if he had any and said he would check and see. He ended up throwing in the fitting for no charge.

Cheapest one I found with google was about 14.50 plus shipping. So around 30$ or so and you could recirculate that bov.

I just talked to the shop that did the body, and it would be 300-400 to fix the fender where it has a rust spot.

Depending on how bad that spot is, that sounds pretty fair. Rust is a nightmare to try and fix and get rid of. I'd have the seller knock about 300-500 off the price and include the hood and it's a deal. :D

I have a 1g for sale locally that has
1) a front mount
2) dsm link
3) available upgrades upon purchase
4) super clean body with no body kits and shit
5) professionally built
6) for the same price or less.

If you prefer show over any kind of go, then get this if not then pm me. that car looks rediculous. and i assure no shop did the mechanics on that. 1st, there is no shops in our area.
2nd, if they did, i would probably know about it.
