Was driving home last night and all of a sudden the back tires sounded like they hopped and then i heard a grinding sound coming from the transmission/transfer case area. I was out in the middle of no where with no cell reception so i had to drive it home. Today i pulled the transfer case to make sure it wasn't that and its still having the same problem. It is only when it is in gear and it is a grinding/clunking/knocking sound. When its in neutral i can free rev with no issues or sounds whatsoever. Also i can feel a vibration that coincides with the grinding from the tranny. I am about to start pulling the tranny but is there anything that i should look for as i am starting this process? It was a new tranny with lsd front and 4 spyder center so idk what is going on. The problem occurs in every single gear no matter the rpm. It had an OEM TOB on there as well. Could this be clutch related or am i talking major transmission overhaul? Lemme know.

its beyond simple adjustments...... Its physical grinding of something transmission related. It goes in and out of gear fine, its once i start giving it gas IN GEAR and it starts going that the clunking/grinding begins. Shifts fine, clutch pedal moves the same everything works the same. Just grinds and makes noise.

motor mounts are in good condition and were double checked as well. The car starts runs and drives fine, just accompanied by a loud grinding when in gear! It almost has to be something inside of the transmission assembly.

nope about to drain it as we speak, will reply back in a few minutes

fluid that came out of the transaxle had a slight glitter affect to it. I take it this is not normal and i am looking at having this tranny rebuilt? Anyone wanna double up on that and tell me if thats correct.
