That is some beautiful craftsmanship.

Got my valve cover and my fuel lines finished. Welding my intercooler and radiator tomorrow afternoon. I need some more electrical connectors and the fuel pumps will have power.

Alternator relocation, weld in my o2 sensors, add fluids and she will start. Getting excited.

No I haven't but money has been tight recently buying all the things that I need to make it run. I might get with you in about 2 weeks to come up with a solution before shootout.

sounds good! I gave it some more thought and figured why not just go with the cheapest solution 1st, use the factory mount with my poly insert and see how it holds up. I know the polyurethane will hold up, my worrie is the factory mount. if that breaks we can make a beefy billet one to fit the same poly insert, this way nothing is lost $ wise.

I made my own alternator relocation kit and it came out very well. So I fabbed up my intercooler piping. I welded a TiAL flange to the intercooler piping and I think it came out well.

I also got the side exit welded up. I will be extending the waste gates out the side as well but that might be after shootout.

Intercooler piping is ran. 1g N/T throttle body. The pulley system is finished. No tensioner on the water pump. I got a belt to fit perfectly. The alt is ran by the AC pulley on the crank.

I turned the engine over last night. I have some minor fuel leaks I have to address at the rail but should have it running by the weekend.

She runs! Crappy cell phone video. I need to get some vacuum line and reattach some stuff I needed to address but I am happy. Small oil leaks at the turbo and my oil pressure gauge but very small. I need to make a plate for the side exit still. I need to finish the wiring on the inside. Seats and harness bar. All I know is it has been a lot of hours and fabing up stuff. I am just happy the start up was smooth. Alternator self excited and I was reading 14.4v while logging. Wideband on the log was 4 points off for some reason. I started it locked in open loop. Front o2 died on me.

Damn john looks good since i was there last love the blue, looks 100 times better, maybe ill come out before the shootout. If not ill see you at the track.

I am pretty sure the engine bay is done. I might extend the fuel line into the rail so it goes around my BOV. I have it running on E85 now. I am decently tuned at 23 psi. I need to add some timing and turn the boost up. Seat is mounted and I ended up no needing a harness bar. The catch can is set up and my hood will fit. The hood is the last thing before its ready.

Did you ever fix this issue? I am having the same problem.

Awesome build! Your work fast.

Ya I switched from AEMWB02 to AEMWB02R1 I think is how it goes. ..

I am not sure what I am going to do about the drivers side headlight.. Might end up making something to direct air to the inlet.

Just an update-

Clutched was smoked. Temporary set up is a ACT 2900 and a Fidanza 4.3 6 puck disk. Flywheel also got really hot so I am sending it out to have it resurfaced. Should have the trans back in tomorrow night and go out to the local car meet. TnT Wednesday night.

The "stacked dimes" look is purely cosmetic. Does not make the weld any stronger, just looks nicer and its what people have come to expect from a tig weld.

Thank you I was just about to lose it. My welds look like silicone from a tube the way I do them and I always get shit for it but I am the main welder at work and my shit is vacuum tight. When you are at 1x10-10 in vacuum it makes 60psi look like a joke.
