Wow this is pretty sad don't you think?
The OP bought a GSX and is happy. At least he's building his car and not buying it built. So what if he over payed is it your money? NO.
I don't understand people on the internet. It's like everytime they post something that makes them sound like a badass their pen*s grows an inch.

Oh and if you wanna race someone on the track atleast have the dignity to race a car that YOU built.....

Oh and please don't tell me you'll see me in ohio and race me.
You will lose.

I am not telling you how to do your job, I am asking you to do it, since I reported the post hours ago.
Right, because our entire Moderation staff does nothing but stare at the computer screen and wait for people to report posts. Reality check?

Well since you don't want to keep it to PMs, even though that is what I was told to do in my warning. I know for a fact that one of the two mods who can address this forum was on and posting at the time I reported it.

Then stop posting responses in this thread. It's already gone to shit- if I had the option it would have been closed when I signed on almost two hours ago and noticed assload of reported posts from other members.

OP, you have pictures of your car yet or what?

This thread is so full of BS it's disgusting.

H4G64T, you realize your are so full of crap it's just painful to read your posts right? I could fill a book with the crap you just make up and spout from that mouth of yours. I guess I'll clarify a few things AGAIN. On DSM #7 <---you see that fool? Not 1, 2, 3, 4 but number 7 -SEVEN. I built every other car, are you still following?, I know it's tough sometimes. And on the current car I have, it has been stripped down to the longblock and reasembled the way I wanted her, all the wiring has been gone through and the suspention and rear diff has been repaired by me... As far as the alternator, since you are extremely slow, there was a bolt broken off in the engine and I almost had to pull the engine. See, when I find something wrong I don't jerry-rig it, I fix it. So yes, the alternator was a major PIA.

I have a theory as to why every other thread is "TIME FOR ANOTHER REBUILD", or "FRESH REBUILD AND WON'T START." Maybe it's because of these guys running around here that think they can build a "racecar" with a Haines manual and a socket set from Wal-Mart. If you think that having someone like Buscher, English Racing etc. building your longblock is cheating, or the wrong way to do things, I'm not even sure I can help you. I'd also like to know why guys like you will brag about a Shep stage 18 tranny when you're so awesome I'm sure you could build it yourself...

Yes I could build a tranny myself. It's not that hard, if you had any clue about them you would realize that. But since you are just making things up now about what you have "done" to that car, I understand that you don't understand that.

Sorry you haven't graduated beyond easy tasks like broken bolt extraction.

For those not as super awesome with their pre-purchased built car, if you ever run into this problem, which most of us have or will, this is the quickest way to get out.

You are absolutly right, I know very little about the inner workings of a transmission. I can replace them and maybe a tad bit more but that's about it. Yes, I'm lying to a guy on the internet to make myself look cool as h3ll so all the kiddies will wanna be just like me :rocks:. I also wish I was as awesome as you keep telling us all, as far as the broken bolt, some of the hardest crap to repair are things that sound simple, IE a broken bolt.

That's the closest thing to the truth you have posted yet. Congratulations. Perhaps you will make use of what I will call sub-mechanics 101 in that video.

This was actually a good thread to read thru, now for the OP, congratulations on the buy, imo you can spend the money you want in your hobby's, its what we all do, sometimes not even realizing it! Sounds like a good car for your new start and should be your new baby!

Well thanks, but sorry I won't be able to make use of that 101 video. See, I only do mechanics work for friends, or when my buddy gets behind at the shop. As for work, I really don't have to get my hands dirty and still manage to make quadruple what you make in a year(that's being conservative). Am I bragging?, nope. I grew up in the ghetto, on welfare, and managed to work hard and beat the odds, so I really don't need anyone patting me on the back thanks.

Oh really, you have seen my paychecks? Let your friends know when they want their car back with the engine still in it after needing an oil change with one of those pesky filters that are too tight for your to remove, that I am available to help them.

So apparently all you mechanics here are beneath the epic awesomeness that is phunny.

God, this thread is full of twats.

Congrats OP. Hopefully all turns out well for you. Big ups on trying to stay clean and not be useless deadweight on society. Goodluck with the car.

Yep, I said all mechanics are beneath me... That's exactly what I said, or wait, did I say I help out when I buddy gets behind...

Since you are so tough, I'll make you an offer in the PM's so you give it a shot. H3ll, we can have it taped and post it in the hangout afterwords :hellyeah:. I'll also take the rest of your post via PM's since you have nothing worth anything to say and are just causing people to read through your BS.

+1, grow up guys. OP, glad you found the car you were looking for. Good luck with her. :thumb:

You guys are absolutley right and I apologize. Sometimes people just get under your skin and you can't help but respond :ohdamn:

And I do wish the OP the best of luck, I just want you to find better prices or talk the seller down next time.

Thanks everyone for the positive inputs! And believe me, if I was in any situation to get a better deal I definately would of. But like I stated this is the best deal where everyone involved got the best deal they were going to get. And for everyone's information, the closest boosted 2g is 3 hours away. I'm not allowed to leave my county at all. Ok, i'm lying here, there is an old gst somewhere within 1 hours range, it's one that I built about 5 or 6 years ago. It was sold, and has gone downhill ever since! I see it running once maybe every 2 years, and it smokes because every new owner it's had is too stupid to realize that the turbo went out and got chunks in the fmic, and then the upper i/c pipe kept falling apart in the dirt!! So naturally the car is sucking in a few pounds of dirt and metal chunks, and they all wonder why it smokes like hell? They just keep replacing the turbo every time....FAIL!

So in short, for me to get someone to bring me a gsx from at least 3 hours away wouldn't be any cheaper than what i'm paying for this one. And I know the history of the car, and i've already done all the work that's been done on it for the last year. And before that it was really close to stock, only had short shifter, and bov. So i'm still lovin life right now, and i will see what I can do about the pictures!
Thanks everyone :)

This is a photoshop of the new one and old one. They are 850 miles apart so this is as close as they're going to get for a while. LOL

This is the new gsx with my old celica. It was nothing special just headers, cat delete, free flowing muffler all ### crap. Intake, wheels, cd player, and little things.

Finally got my baby up and running!! As of friday night. And yes, i'm officially in love all over again...seems like it will never stop :thumb:

This is the actually the 2nd time she started. The first I was too busy watching the temp gauge, oil pressure, leaks, listening...you all know.

This is the first time she moved. From the garage straight back about 15-20 feet. Went slow making sure things were all good. Nothing seemed bad so i was beginning to think something was really really wrong!

And this last picture is her first drive. Went from the house straight to the car wash  Everything went suprisingly good :p

I replaced the oil pump, timing belt, auto tensioner, driver side axle, thermostat, water pump. The head was gone through 3 angle valve job, valves, valve seats (for the hell of it) , valve seals. I wish I had gotten lifters still has a little lifter tick that's really bugging me. Also replace injector o-rings, a few vacuum lines, moved the boost gauge line into fpr line, connected the back light for the boost gauge (has the infamous problem of dimming when rest of lights brighten). Flushed radiator, new oil before first start, and oil change after ~2 minutes of running. Sadly right now it's running mobile 5000 10w 30, but in the next few weeks I will be going to royal purple "race" or I have also been reading up a little on running some sort of diesel oil in there :hmm: Transfer case fluid drained and then filled with mobil 1 75w 90 (?) as well as the rear differential. Also re-sealed the oil pan. And did the "bolt and washer" camber kit for the rear, still has negative camber  The turbo timer was all half-a$sed wired in, so I got out the wires and sauder gun and heat shrink tubing and went to town, now it works flawlessly.

So far this "build" has been the best one i've ever completed, I fell great with myself :applause:
Edit* By this I mean that no one touched this car besides me. I did have help tearing stuff apart (ex girlfriend) but putting things back together it was ALL me. I've built engines before with help, and I've built some by myself but the other ones never got "finished", they would run and drive, but never became street legal, never had all wiring done, never completed interiors after the builds....little things like that. This car I had lots of interior parts out, as well as engine parts out....and it is now all back together completely.

I've put 73 miles on it since finishing, and at 50 miles the check engine light came on. I was about a mile from vatozone and drove straight there. On the way I watched all gauges, and toy'd with the car a tiny bit to see if i noticed anything messing up. As i pulled in I remembered I gutted the cat in the middle of all of this and figured it would just be an emissions code. Sure enough it was p0420 (?) Catalyst system malfunction. So I cleared it, and so far still no issues. I also went with a felpro hg and figured i would try using the copper gasket spray, and so far it's holding up :)

I still need to do a compression check, and leak down test. Just for informational purposes, and for my peace of mind. In fact there's still alot that I need to go still. Near future plans are finish fixing rear camber, tires, egr block off, fiac block, hard i/c piping, and then ecm link. I'm seriously debating ecm link coming after camber, and tires :hmm:

Well this post is extremely long, sorry :boring: And of course I did alot more to the car than i've said, and I still need to do alot more as well. I just wanted to let you guys know that there's one more dsm rockin the streets, and hopefully you all agree that it's being well taken care of :thumb:

And as always if anyone has any ideas of what I can do to make her better let me know ;)

Grats on getting your car running OP, looks great!

Even though its a dead horse and 1 month old, because I missed this thread:
Everyone on this forum with half a brain recognizes that the majority(If not all) of Phunny's opinions/statements should be ignored as someone else stated, he has more money than brains. Unfortunately money can't make you smart, and it shows.
