Just wanted to see if we had some motocross fans here. If you are and you want to make a trip to michigan the first weekend of july let me know! Its a pro national called Red Bud and it is the biggest party I have ever been to. Probably on of the best times I have ever had and I try to recruit everyone I can to go there to make it even better

^ Definitely one of the reasons I quit racing full-time.

I was at the crossroads of needing two new bikes, so I needed to spend abouit $6k on equipment updates plus $25 per class to race Friday night Arenacross and $35 per class to race Sunday outdoor tracks. Add the cost of the MR2 race fuel which was around $11/gal, plus the cost of the fuel to haul everything there, entry fee to the track for me and my girlfriend, and we'd almost always stop for food on the way home...and I was spending an easy $250-$300 per weekend to for around an hour of actual riding time each time I signed up. What a waste.

Makes owning a DSM seem like a bargain.

I race distrcit 17 +25 on on '09 yz450, and a '11 CXR400AF-R this year. Goin to the Indy supercross in march, and I may make it to redbud, to watch.

I don't take racing to seriously, more or less only race becuase its the only thing to do in my town on a saturday night. This year were getting a GP circuit at the outdoor tracks, I'm def looking forward to that.

I've been to Red Bud the past five years or so.

It never gets old!

I will be at red bud this year with davi millsaps. I have been riding with him since I was 10.

Sad situation for sure.

Closest I ever came to heat stroke was at a Steel City Summer Series race in 2002. Second moto was extremely exhausting and the outside temps were well in the 90s. Once we made it home (just a few miles) I just crashed on the couch and pretty much passed in and out of consciousness and ran a fever of around 104 until the next day. It was super-scary at the time...I remember not knowing what was going on at first but once I figured it out I was frightened at how severe it was going to get.

yeah thats a bad situation. I never races but i just like riding at the sand dunes.

Well I know him motocross/personal level. He had was a truck guy no "little 4 bangers for him" as he would say but he was a good guy forsure. And just starting to go big
