I'm 27, I've been working on and building cars since I was 17. Picked up my first DSM in 2001-2002, at 18. In fact I still own it, just could never let it go even after owning a couple EVOs, STIs, and even another DSM.

I plan on wrenching and building cars until my hands can no longer hold a wrench. And nothing anyone says is going to stop me. :hellyeah:

I'm 20 and I've had three '90 DSM's since I was 16. My latest car is here to stay :D

Older guys having dsm's take better care of them usually. Plus Its nice to see other than a muscle car being an interest when it was their generation of car. Im talking about 40 and above here"

Stick with the DSM for forty more years and the younger folk will send you Social Security checks every month to pay for more mods. If you think that your DSM will be done in only 40 years then you're probably nor really a DSM'er.

Please see http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/405333-whos-over-40-a-2.html for a listing of the older tuners.

But what do I know? I won't turn seventy for five more months. After passing the big Seven, Oh there is a chance that I will start to grow up. Nah.

24 here, but in an Evo now not a DSM.

Have to say at the last CDSM DSM/Evo meet there weren't any high school guys driving any DSMs, everyone was a little older than I had actually expected.

I say you're never too old :)

Age is just a number. I'm 28, and the only reason I WONT stop driving a DSM is because I seriously dont want to drive anything else. I have driven numerous brands of cars from Russia to North Korea and Australia, and I still come home to my Talon. Strange how love works.

Sounds like the typical "muscle" car guys. Ignorance is bliss isnt it. They probably drive a 87 iroc that runs a 17.9 LOL

+1 Sounds like a guy at my work. Hes 50 years old and thinks his stock 2003 Mach 1 Mustang can't be beat and if it was it's still better because it only has 15,000 miles on it and new car smell. Also thinks it still worth like $25000. on his fifth fuel pump think i should tell him about the RRE fuel pump mod?:tease: Oh and i'm 23.

Something about Cake, JToby.

WHERE IS MY DAMN SS CHECK?!?!

I'm 24 and a few other dsm buddies are late 20s/early 30s. Like they said how are they to tell you that you are too old for something! My dad is 64 and has an xbo360/iphone/ipad. He should be too old for all that stuff. You gotta have fun to stay young !

There's no age limit sticker that i can find but I'm 16 and had it since I was 15.

Ugh.

``You`re too old...``

Uh-huh. And, who are these pundits dealing out this sage advice? Let`s establish whether you should give two, ah, shakes about these folks` opinions. Seriously, highschool is where it matters to be ``cool`` in the eyes of your peers.

This thread should be entitled: ``My co-workers (friends, whoever) are insecure/cliquey/opinionated/attention-starved, etc``

Keep having fun with the DSM!

I`m 40, and an elementary school teacher!:D

Your typing method is wild.

38 going on 39. Brand new owner of my 1g FWD and 2g AWD. Right around 35 I started noticing I might be too old to drive one. I remember the 1g was something like $17,500 back in 91 and was considered affordable. Then the 2g's got bloated and were running around $28,000 not 6 years later. I still had to have it though, damned sexy body and to this day I get complements especially with the enkeis. The only reason it stays is that it is so damned quick I have nothing to replace it with. Nowadays, I'm more interested in creature comforts so things like a/c, kickass radio, and a suspension that doesn't rupture a spleen make would make the DSM much more liveable. If I ever make 6 figures, I may do a full resto and just pull it out on the weekends.

You are never too old to enjoy the capable platform for performance that the 4g63 is.
