i think hes planning on having it done by the Shootout if im not mistaking, if so i would love to feel how it pulls

Holy crap that is amazing, I can't wait to see some videos of that thing in action. I want one now!

Well, his transmission is almost done, and it will look PRETTY in his engine compartment. I just finished up the gearset and am just waiting on one synchro and that output shaft plug to show up, then final assembly. Should have it done on Thursday.

The car is turning out AWESOME J!!! Great progress from everyone involved!

I can't wait to see this thing in action!

I know you will register it as a "custom" or something along those lines, but having never heard of whats required to do that...just curious.
You and me both. The little bit of research I have done seems to indicate that getting this street legal in Wisconsin will be a very difficult process.

I hope you get some airflow through the IC like that.

After the first couple of runs I should be able to tell if I need to add a duct or fan to the intercooler. I'll be sure to post the logs as well.

Thanks Tim. I can't wait to show off the trans! :sneaky:

The help and support on this project has been amazing! I wouldn't of had the time or funds to finish the project by the end of the year, let alone the shootout, without everyone's help and support. Thank You Guys!

Update:

PMA1132 welded everything up on the exhaust. Just for fun, here's a pic of the SL-R Exhaust next to a DSM Exhaust.

The last major piece to the puzzle is the ignition/electrical system. Thankfully  Steve is helping me out with this. While Steve is does his thing, I'm going to get the gauges, switch panel, battery, and ecu all sorted out and mounted.

I've been watching this since you started. It's a great alternative use for the 4g63. I think it really helps keep the motor alive and works to promote it in spite of the newer and more popular power plants of today.

Great job!

This absolutely needs to be at the Shootout. Either way, awesome progress!

Transmission is done! I will drop it off tomorrow with the ignition box!

Very Nice Build I have been following other builds of the SL-C on gt40's. Are you planning on modding an eclipse wire harness for lights turn signal fan relay, fuel pump and such?

The ISIS looks like a great solution for those things but I haven't figure out if a good solution would be to use the eclipse harness/ecu along with the ISIS or the Eclipse ecu/Harness by itself

What are you planning to do ?

I'm going to use an EZ-Wiring harness for all that stuff.

Tim dropped of the transmission for the SL-R last night and it's nothing short of Amazing. I know Tim (TMZ Performance) is well known for building some of the best DSM/EVO transmissions, but I wasn't expecting something this Nice! I'm still just dumbfounded by how good this trans looks.:D

The video doesn't do it justice but it gives you an idea:

Dam thats the cleanest Trans ive ever seen and the first time to see such a clean Trans in HD aswell. thats is some camera man.

Just an FYI, Jon did this video in 1080p High-Definition video, so check it out on a good computer screen!

The metallic content of the silver will really pop out when it sees some good ole sunlight!

Thanks again Jon for the opportunity to work on this car with you! It is an absolute honor!

Yeah john's camera is the shit man, specifically what brand and model is That? I would like to make a bunch of car vids with that same quality.

The camera I used is a Canon VIXIA HF S11. Great little camera that has amazing stabilization.

Update:
A lot of progress was made over the weekend. I'm going to try and get some of the electrical done tonight. Thank you Steve for the schematic! :D
