Hey does anyone knows a good trusted place that familiar and friendly with dsm cars that can do some repairs for a reasonable price around Columbia? I need to retune my car, it's running rich. I also puff out some smoke at prolonged idle, I think my valve stem seals are going out, I would want some one to replace them.

I'm about an hour and a half south and I can loan you the spring compressor tool if you want to do it yourself.

good shit! to bad I will be gone by then

Did you make it out to Darlington? I'm also still waiting for my transmission to come back from TRE. I'm hoping to see it by the end of next week but I'm not holding my breath. Jon is working very hard on it but my Quaife center diff wasn't happy and warrantying it hasn't been easy at all.

Yeah, I got there around 8, it wasn't busy at all, did 6 runs. Best one 14.0 with 2.5 60 foot, and 102 trap, wheel hop is horrible! I was hoping to get at least 13.5 out of it, I mean car is pushing 19psi!

Im about 76% of the way through this process. Gunna do a Dogbox Stage 1 rebuild. ARP head studs, 1250s instead of these 550s, and a real tune on e85.

Anyone knows reputable shop around Columbia area that can wire my slim fan to a switch for decent price? I went to some stereo shop, they quoted me $90 and all they did spliced into fog light harness then ran switch into the car and left it hanging under the dash. So now I have to turn on headlights, then turn on fog lights, and then turn on the switch! After I told them that I want straight switch to fan set up ran through accessory and fuse, so fan does not stays turned on when I shut the car off and wont drain the battery, they told me its extra because they have to take steering column apart ($150 now!!!). I did not pay and suppose to come back tomorrow to talk to manager about it. Does anyone knows a good place where I can get a quote so I have something to through at this guys face when I am there tomorrow?

why do they have to take the column apart? there should be at least one spare fuse slot in the box that is only powered when the switch is on... I would tell them to put the damn car back the way they found it and refund your money. Good lord, a fifth grader could have wired it like that and it woulda been free...

I don't know how many times i have to keep saying the guy that works on my car does everything. cheap fast and quality work

Russian, I saw ## other post too, I agree you should just splice into the hot wire for the fan and connect the relay for the slim fan. DO NOT just wire both fans together. This could burn the wiring to both fans. just run the relay for the new fan off the same hot wire. This way when the first fan comes on, it will also engage the relay for the second fan.

If you need me to, I can draw you an easy diagram on how to do it... won't take you about 30 minutes or so.

Hey we are doing our monthly car meet again this weekend, but instead if meeting at a car wash we are going to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest at 9pm. Text me if you think you might make it, 843-798-2037.

Been awhile since anyone of yall have shown your still alive. I got my car going again new trans more fuel, and some arps. Sadly i blew the rear end and the batery last night in columbia at about 4 o clock in the morning drunk...

Anyways 6:30 this morning i got the car home found out there was no oil in my rear burnt it right up. I sound like a jet landing when i drive over 30 now. I'm currently searching for a new rear, and for some folks to wanna go out, and race/watch/eat just shoot the shit. Jackson is a pretty nice strip thurs, and saturday nights. We have a nice local brewery with great food, and good beer. Let me know if anyone is interested

Hey guess what? I'm still waiting on Quaife warrantying my center differential. And today all I did was put my car up on jack stands in case my parking lot floods from Irene.

I really hope that you havent payed them for all that, because wow...It's been like 6 months just call dogbox 5-7 days.

Heres a little video of my driving the car with this burnt up rear end listen to the jet sound near the end of the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vv87iaMHUw

I went last night to retardedAUTO, and one of the workers told me about a car meet that was local around here. Every sunday they get together guy told me there was a few cars. I went out there last night 40+ cars 240s SRTs honda alota hondas camaro VW. Was alota fun next weekend i plan on making a video of the turn out to show you guys.

We have a meet like that down here in North Charleston on Sat. nights. It's fun but I would love more DSM action.

And your rear end sounds horrible.

And I already did pay TRE but no matter who I went with I would have this issue since the problem isn't with TRE it is with getting my Quaife Center Diff warrantied which would have been used no matter what company did my trans. The work that TRE is doing to the transmission has been done for months. He finished my transmission in less than a week and found the problem with the differential when he spun the transmission up to test speed on his mill. No I'm just getting F'd by Quaife, I'm damn close to just buying a new 4-spider and forgetting the stupid overpriced Quaife.

Just seems like there putin on the back burner. i got a new rear end this morning so that nasty sound will be out of there soon.

Man i wish i could be racing i just keep breaking stuff LOL. im still currently driving the car, but the HG is starting to go out not leaking coolant, or over heating or mixing oil, but guess its time to do the whole timeing, water pump, hg, and a fresh head ill be ready to race again within a week or 2.

I just put a new turbo, and manifold on my car, and got some more port work done :D. just looking for a nice open dump o2 housing now
