so i just put a t3/4 garrett turbo when i first took it out it hits about 2 psi an falls on its face .so i did some reading found out i need a fcd or a ml so i bought a ml an now it seems like i still have fuel cut :notgood: so i order a walbro 255 pump an waiting on it do you think its the stock pump not getting enough gas or is my ml a pos..:ohdamn: its a 97 gs so i know they have the fuel cut off when the map see boost..can anyone help me 420a for life:hellyeah:
 
stock fuel injectors an a missing link ..i have a 255 walbro pump on the way...really dont know to much about the whole turbo scene but i only want 6/7 psi
 
First you posted in wrong section. You'll also so need a fmu ( 12:1). Do you have a afr gauge? You're most likely going really lean. What type of wastewater you have?
 
idk i just know i got a t3/4 garret turbo with a .42 ar.. i dont know were to hook the waste gate vaccum line uo.. should it go to the intake or to the bottom nipple of my greddy type s bov?

how much was that ms standalone..kit? do you know were i could pick one up kinda cheap..LOL prob not
 
Wastegate and bov go to a source on manifold. Symtech labs best around. I went with a do it yourself kit. Had to send it to them to correct my mess. Is your Wastegate internal or external? Do you know what its set at?

I BOUGHT THE WHOLE KIT FROM A KID IN NEWARK HE PUT IT ON AN RAN 15 PSI UMM FOR ABOUT A WEEK AN BLEW A HOLE IN HIS BLOCK i got everything for 300 dollars ic /ic piping oillines water lines bov manifold.. i have pics on another thread of everything
 
ya kinda i bought the kit the one day at like 11 i spent about 7 hours before i test drove it.. how would you set it cause my gauge reads about 4 psi when its cutting in an out {fuel cut} so i got a ml an it still does the same thing even when i took the map sensor out.. how would you set the waste gate it just has a vaccum hose?
 
Research is your friend. you seem to have no idea what your doing.

You'll also so need a fmu ( 12:1)< this is your issue. Yes you can run 6 psi on stock injectors.. but your ecu is not programmed to give fuel in boost, so when you boost, its confused. thats where the SFMU and missing link/fcd come in. now the ecu doesnt see boost, but thinks its in a normal run area and fuel lightly, when infact you are boosting..

Now. if you keep messing around doing this. your going to blow your engine (if you havent already messed things up), b/c you are most likely running lean. theres a reason the original owner blew up... for get about boosting or setting your wastegate until youve fixed your fueling problem.

Get this:
You'll also so need a fmu ( 12:1) or SFMU
Wide band AFR
If you have a missing link, great, also get an FCD.

How deep are your pockets.. b/c these arent like civics.. you need cash to do these right..

MS standalone/ any MS is not for you.. untill you figure alot of other things out first.. its not a plug and play system...
 
ok well i got my 255 pump an 12.1 fmu in the mail so im just waiting for everything i dont think its lean it smells like gas an makes my eyes burn when im messing with it at a idle.. but i only have a down pipe on it not connected

I remember when the settings in my safc for maf sensor type was changed from karmin. It would fall on its face right at 3000 and shortly before then it would start to sputter.

Maybe your maf isnt connected? or something dealing with the maf.

i have a map on a 97 gs

Um, what do you mean playing with idle.. you shouldnt even be messing with idle, your stock? and that could be that your in limp mode. we wont know until you get a wide band.. so go to ebay and get one. AEM UEGO is a good one for cheap.

i have only drove it all of 2 miles mabye i can drive it untill it hits 2 psi an takes a poop on me

im not layin with idle when its just sitting there idling it burns my eyes..i got a gaue for air an fuel
 
hmmm.. it shouldn't burn your eyes, sounds like u have a fuel leak ,. it has to be pure fuel to burn like that..

and your gauge.. is it a WIDEBAND? because thats what you need.. the auto zone special air fuel gauge is not the same thing.

cam2 only since i put the turbo on about four gallons of it

ok so i looked an the cheepest wideband 02 is like 150 ..LOL anyone no where i acn get one cheaper im waiting on money paycheck an i just bought 255 pump an 12.1 fmu
 
what wide band is it? AEM uego is the cheapest should be 200-250.. its a performance part.. your trying to have a performance car. they require money.. dont cheap out..

and CAM2? why!? run 91 or 93 if you can , and NEVER run anything less then 91.. IF you dont have ability to tune (and you dont) how is it reasonable to think your car will just adjust..

well my bubby said it would be better cause he thought my car would run lean an since i turbo it but idk im not looking to blow it up i kinda want to keep it but its a turd my 06 altima eats it up an i would like to get it up to ### its running about 220 whp
 
What he said. Just seen your blog entry. What kit is that? An you have an internal gate. I didn't see your bov in pic. It will take time and research. An in the end no to setups are like.
