Hey guys I have a 1g gst with 16g 190lph act clutch, I was curious to know if I bought evo 9 pistons if I had to do any other block work any help would be greatly appreciated

Why not use them? 8.8:1 is better than the poor stock 7.8:1. He will get a very nice response off boost and at low boost

EVO 9 pistons don't have 8.8:1 compression with our heads. EVO's have a 43cc combustion chamber and we have a 47cc so we won't get the 8.8:1 unless you put a head on that has a 43cc.

Every car will be different. You have to consider how much they have milled off the head/block and how thick of head gasket is used.

OP- Make sure your walls are in good shape but you cane bore it .020 over and get it fit for the piston. Need to machine rods to accept the piston just like a 2g piston. Other than that, no other modifications need to be made.

Ok well I'm getting a safc2 with 560cc injectors now I know that I need a egt and aem ugeo wideband but will them two parts get me where I need to be?

If you plan on running any normal amount of boost on the 16g, the 560's will be too small.

As you can see by that link, the 650's would be a much better choice to pair with a 16g, but again will be close depending on what 16g and how much boost you plan to run. Also, they are the max size injector you can easily control with the SAFC.

I would say skip the EGT as well. A wideband will be all you need.

Ok I appreciate that I do believe I have the small 16g not 100% sure but more than Likely that's what I have also I's the safc hard to tune I'm I'n fort drum ny so altitude matters and mods now I know no one can just give me numbers cause no two cars are alike but I's there a rage of numbers I should be looking at?

Also the 3 I'n exhaust was home made by the previous owner. Now it looks like shit, an lately iv been looking for a cat back for a Gst it's like pulling teeth to get a decent price every decent priced exhaust iv seen was for a gsx any ideas on where I could find one? Price range I's 150 to 300 don't care so much on the brands just a nice sounding and attractive design

For $150-$300 you won't be getting any good "name" brand exhaust.
eBay is your solution if you want a cheap NEW exhaust.
Just go to a muffler shop get one made and buy a muffler.
Call it a day.

yea i was actually thinking about that, but the problem in new york is they wont touch my exhaust if im modifying it, its dumb but i think im gunna do it my self but right this time. by the way i looked for one on ebay and they pretty much only have it for gsx LOL idk ill try to figure something out
