Appreciate all the suggestions, but I'm really looking for someone that does this in their own free time.
I'd like to learn how to do this as well, and I doubt a shop will let me stand around. Haha.
Currently stock on the fence deciding whether or not to buy a spare longblock, guy says it's got a bad rod bearing, developed a knock, and it needs a rebuild. I'd probably order the Manley Forged Rotating Asm as a start, and then eventually work on the head.

I know a guy on here who works on my car. He does so in his garage BUT he lives in Joliet. I will be rebuilding mine when I get the cash. Pm me for his number if you are interested
