Welcome to DSMtuners! just stick with it and youll be picking on the noobs too in no time :thumb:

ok thanks man i hope to join you guys soon but i dont really have the money for what i want to do, but i fell in love with dsm's once i found out about them and i started reading about them so im still learning, and again i hope to join you guys asap

It was just kind of brash. It's okay though, they'll get the message :)

Anyway, thanks for posting it. If you hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten my 'disgruntled letter to a publication' in today.

Great now I'm going to have to flip through this piece of crap next month and see if they print anything we've sent in. ;p

I sent in a concise reply that hopefully didn't sound like a complete fanboy with aspergers wrote it, but I forgot to copy it to paste here before submitting.

I wrote it angry but I stand by it! :heystupid:

whats wrong with it? :idontknow:

was it the ass kissing??! LOL

No it wasn't the ass kissing. And being a dick is fine. But your spelling, punctuation and all of that was pure shit. If you're going to be a dick, cover your ass so they can't come back at you.

telling people that DSMs suffer from crankwalk (especially people looking for a good project car) hurts our community, thats way worse then a little honda bashing.. altho I regret putting it the way I did.. :ohdamn:

CRAP!! :sosad: well lets hope my spell check corrected a few things...

I just hope they get my point, I dont want them to publish it, just get some DAM DSMs on there, and if you have a better why of telling them please do it!

they need to know what there is a DSM community that is as strong if not stronger then that of the JDM.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have done it. It's just now they'll be like, "Oh, look at what the dipshit that can't spell sent us, lets publish it and make fun of the DSM crowd because they're all idiots."

I sent in a response as well.. such a shame.

But then again... not surprising from Super Street. That magazine is more about video games and girls than cars. LOL

I saw this article too at the local wal-mart LOL. i was excited to see the "10 project cars for under 10K" and even more so to see that DSMs were on the list, but after reading it all i could do is :ohdamn: incredibly uneducated writing.

I like it. It will push Honda boys, fed up with their slow ass cars, to steer clear of DSM's. This means less riced out, poorly modified, broken, impounded, crushed DSM's so the real fans, us, can enjoy these cars until our hearts are content.

I'm actually happy :)

Last thing we need is a dumba$$ DSM trend to give us a bad name. I'd rather not be pulled over by every cop like I see happening to these "jdm" hondas.

Ive only even bought a few issues of Stupid Street. It was always too thin and never really had any meat in it for me. Back then for me it was Turbo and Hi Tech Performance.

1Gs were actually made in 1989. Although there were only 8, but technically thats still a number. Im willing to bet that most of those were for crash testing. But not defending them, most of the 1990 1Gs were actually "built" in 1989.

And for the newer guys, back in those days, there was argument whether the 2G was a DSM at all. I think thats where some of the hostility about the DSM ending in 1996, although that figure is still wrong, it would have been 1989-1994.

Why wouldn't the 2g be considered DSM?

I stopped opening up this magazine and the grocery store years ago. They've never been a great mag, but they really went downhill around '09. Once Rick Daddy and those guys split, I never even glanced at one after I read one issue with this current batch of noobs.

Modified Mag is nice. Maybe not anymore. I haven't read a car-mag in years.

Just an FYI in the october issue the editor write a big tail between his legs appology to the dsm guys, they published two of the letters sent to them.

Id email but its midnight and im tired you know what you guys should do is email modified mag a emaill showing em what super street did... Modified is a pretty dope magazine they actually had an article about dsm's and they dynoed a stock 1ga gsx and it made 156awhp on the dyno. They got rid of the snorkel and gained 6hp... LOL SCREW SUPER STREET READ MODIFIED!

Just realized how old this thread is FACE PALM
