I love that psshhht sound between shifts and stuff but i dont want to do anything to harm my car. I also heard that sound comes from a CAI, is this true?

Ummm....your car has a bov stock if it's turbocharged...

Only way you will harm your car is if you vent it to the atmosphere without a GM maf or speed density, as it will go rich in between shifts.
 
Venting your BOV to the atmosphere on a pre BOV MAF system is bad though.

Any vehicle with a turbo and throttle plate will have a BOV factory.
 
Really? WTF

They come stock on our cars if you have a turbo model. They should always be recirculated back to the intake pipe unless you have a GM MAF or are running speed density. They do not harm our cars, but instead help. Go read up on what the purpose of a bov is and you'll understand it more.
