Was the pressure plate AND disc new? According to ACT their older pressure plates AND discs are not compatible with the newer hardware. The older sprung discs will hit the newer pressure plate fingers when fully depressed. and the older pressure plates dont move enough to fully disengage the newer discs and caused clutch drag. I have an older 2600 PP and a new disc, but they said the only reason it works is because it is un-sprung so the fingers do not hit the sprung center hub, which obviously happened in your case.

Edit: The disc is newer if it has 4 springs instead of 6. There are ACT reps on here, try finding one and asking them, i had a problem with one of their clutches before and the contacted me VIA email after seeing my post on here.

If you lived closer i would give you an extra case. I have 2 laying around.

I was being sarcastic by saying I'm moving to Florida just for a bell housing :p Haha. Anyways I did find that username last night, however I think I'm just going to give them a call in an hour and a half, when they open. Ill let you know what they say.

Well hello Mr. Clutch I can seeee you :) ...wait :| ...I CAN SEE YOU!? OMG

Yeah, well i was able to do a chat with them online, and they said to send them an email with the pictures and what happened. All is sent, so now let the waiting begin.

Found one finger on the top of the transmission and the other was wedge in-between the pressure plate and clutch disk. What are some expert opinions from the moderators? The pressure plate was less then a year old. I forget when exactly I ordered it. All I know was, it wasn't long ago.

I had an ACT 2100 do this EXACT same thing with under 8k miles. I contacted RRE over it, who contacted ACT. At first they didn't want to warranty it, but after a bit of fighting, they did. Definatly contact them. Mine did this on a STOCK car... T25. No launches, either.

Witnessed the same thing happen on my buddies stock GST, he wasn't the nicest to the car, but it was a daily driven t25 car...ACT was very helpful through the process though.

This is a common story with the new ACT stuff. I have only seen 2600's do this over the past 3 years though.

We've had a couple clutches explode and ACT replaced them free of charge w/ no grief at all... so I'd bet your clutch will be replaced.....your bellhousing however will probably not be covered by them.

1,200 miles 0 launches and driving very easy, this is what I got.

Took the PP off and it just all fell apart. It didn't do any damage to my flywheel or PP though.

Ran a ACT 2600pp and 6 puck sprung race disc in my old 05 Evo with 330whp with a streetlite flywheel with 0 problems for 30k miles with 5-10 launches, ran a ACT 2100pp with a street disc for 15k miles with 20+ launches but the clutch started to slip because it couldn't handle the power, recently put in a ACT 2600pp, 6 puck sprung race disc, and streetlite flywheel in with 0 problems so far and I have no plans to launch the car.

It's been happening more than 3 years. The bad news is it doesn't seem to be going away. The good news is it's hit or miss. And most of the time it's a hit. When my clutch gave out (mind you, I was the one that started this thread in 2004), ACT gave me the cold shoulder until I came at them with a list of about 20 costumers. But I hear they have been a lot better warranting their product.

And they guy that says that performance clutches last only 10,000 miles needs to get a red chicklet.

So apparently no one here realizes that ACT addressed this by capturing their springs. I foresee a lot of whiney posts coming in the future when ACT rejects peoples claims due to improper clutch adjustment and installs.
