Well i got power to the switch, and to the motor, so i know its the motor.

ok, good... I'm so used to people on this site assuming it's something without checking it out first. I always ask questions like that. Not calling you a dummy, I just always check. BTW, DSMgraveyard is slow as hell. I ordered all my bolts on the 11th and they haven't even shipped them yet... Said it would ship in 24 to 72 hours... I hate waiting on parts...

Ya i bet some of them will be wrong too! I don't buy from them anymore. I normly always go with STM, because they are quick, and fast, and know what your talking about.

Well if it makes you feel any better Jon at TRE still has my transmission. He is doing an awesome job and he just won't call it finished until he is happy. I got their stage 4 build so it has all new Evo 3 internals and I'm using my existing Quaife front and center differentials. He got my trans all done and assembled and when he tested it by using a mill to spin the trans to speed it was very loud. It turns out that it is the gear teeth on the center differential housing that mate with the intermediate shaft. He put in a stock center diff and it was nice and quiet. So now I am waiting to find out if I can get the case for Quaife diff. warrantied.

It's ridiculous with the differentials and this build I have a trans that costs more than a nice GSX and it still just isn't coming together.

Yes, I am going to DD with the car. That's the biggest reason I went with the Evo 3 gearset and not a dog box. I don't want to hear straight cut gears whining all the time while I drive.

I have an associate that lives in Aiken, South Carolina. He is thinking about buying an already built 1G AWD from Arizona. It needs a pump gas tune. Where is the closest shop with a good reputation? Thanks.

Thats gunna be a fun car to drive.

Yo, justin rebuilding the bottom end playa. Few more days man, just waiting for my piston rings and rod bearings to come in. Then its on.

I can't wait to see that car again. We can take some pictures. Hope things work out for you

Theres a guy name Nick that lives in columbia. He has done everything for both of my cars, and they run great. Has very good prices

Thanks, I have been enjoying it for several years but the last 8 months or so have been tough. I've had turbo oiling issues, I bent a drive shaft, all the normal small DSM stuff, and now my 3/4 hub exploded and the trans is fighting on going back together. And in the mean time I've had to steal my wife's PT Cruiser to go to and from work, I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my car again.

Talk about taking a step down.

Yeah, pretty much went from AWD 2.3l with a Holset to a FWD 2.4l with a 16G or whatever the stock size is. It also handles like a boat and has my daughters baby seat in the back but at least I get to work.

It will be a sweet day when I get my trans back and installed hopefully that will be within a week or two.

Yeah, when my son was born, I was driving 1969 F100 stepside w/ a 429 in it. When my wife went back to work, I had to take him to the daycare, so I ended up driving the new minivan while she still drove her Trans-Am to work... I was litteraly married man from John boy and Billy

That's awesome. My other project other than my DSM is a '66 Chevy Fleetside pickup

I love the chevy's from that era. I really love the shoebox chevy trucks. (55-57)... I had a friend in highschool that had a gorgeous 55 chevy truck his grandfather had built for him. I loved that truck and it wasn't even mine...

Yeah this thread has gotten kinda quiet. Once again, I'm at work getting paid $25/hr to sandblast and paint parts for the TSi. Gotta take some more brackets off Wednesday, and my bolts should be here that day too... I guess I will have to drop the tranny out of the car, but that will give me a chance to clean everything, and finish painting the engine bay.

My car still has no transmission and it's to hot to push it anywhere.

Ya its been hot here too. I ordered a new valve cover today, and tom getting the window motor, and then a alignment.

Hopefully we can all get the cars going here soon would be fun to meet up

Yes, I can't wait. While cleaning out the console and glovebox yesterday, I found an old receipt from sears automotive that said something was wrong with the differential. Good god, I will never get ahead. BUT, that just gives me a good reason to do the 5spd swap.
