I would only pay about $500 or the wheels. That's with good tires. LOL

What would you guys pay for an Evo 9 MR w/ 150k miles, completely stock. Ran easy besides when the son drives it which isn't a lot. (I know this because it's a family friend of ours.) I'm thinking about buying it just want to know what you guys would pay.

7k, 150k is a lot..........if its anything like our car, its going to need some work with that mileage. Ive seen a few VIII's on craigslist for 10-12k with 90+k on them, give or take a couple thousand.

Actually, this car is the most maintained car I've ever seen in my life. They take crazy good care of it. Everything is up to date and always on time. They actually just replaced the clutch about 2 months ago (has maybe 1500 miles on it.) The family, whole family is Honda people. But still love Evo's and DSM's. One of their sons had an Evo VIII w/ full bolt ons and stock turbo on 29psi with meth. He could never get it to run right or drive right (driver mod lacking and knowledge lacking.) I mean tops I'd pay 9k for it. Just seeing what you guys would want.

Bud92gsx - it's not stored away winters and sees rain quite a bit. LOL

Ya I would keep a couple grand for mainenence, if your going to buy your friends dads evo..

Mom's... It's a 40 year old woman that usually drives it..

The 17 year old kid that drives it is a friend. He is the one that drives it every once in awhile (once a month at that.) He doesn't drive it hard all the time, but does at least one pull. He's scared to actually race it ### his mom would most likely murder him.

The other son they have, who previously owned the Evo VIII that I described is a Honda kid that loves his RSX and 'teg Type R.

The dad also owns a RSX.

The mom; owns this Evo IX that I'm talking about.

The pic is the Evo IX. The only pic I could get. And The kid on the fourwheeler, is the 17 year old that drives it sometimes.

But still dude that alot of miles..I'm sure the mom likes to get on it too, but that what the engine was designed for..But still since it's a friends mom of whatever I would lowball it for sure..

You can find evo's on ebay, CL with less than 100k for less than 15k all day..I just seen one that was completly stock with 60k for 12..Although I think it was still in auction mode...

I know that's a lot of miles? Never said it wasn't. I'm just asking for what everyone would pay for a car, that I know 100% about. This is all just helping people, help me. I will lowball.

I would stay away lower than 10..Even tho maintenance, Might now be an issue at all..Oldder people take really good care of these cars..Well most anyway..

most older people like my dad want a car that just drives, something that doesnt have problems and what not. I wouldn't be surprised if it never gets warmed up or anything. At the end of the day its still a Mitsu and needs that one look over. Sub 10k. My step brother bought his 06 IX with 40,xxx for 18k modified and clean title. With that said the mileage makes a big difference.

My dad is one of those it's just a car people..He buys 500$ cars untill they die..Although he did just buy an elcamino..It's not that awsome, but it's only got 80k on it..

I wouldn't buy an MR period, those 6 speed transmissions are weak.

Just spoke with her, she wants 13k. I laughed. And my bad, It's not a MR. I thought wrong. I'm gonna do more talking with her. It won't be modded much either.. If anything, hard pipes, test pipe, tial BOV, and a tune. Of course fuel will be added to. Just a nice DD.

Being a DSM owner and the stigma of being cheap thrown aside, I personally wouldn't pay more than 6-7k for that. If you didn't do all the body work yourself, you're looking at quite a bit extra having it done, and go knows if there's anything else that got flubbed up when that front end was smashed.

It's less to do with being cheap, and more to do with not paying a good chunk of money for a car that looks like a hunk of shit.

Personally I would stay away that is just too many miles to fork over that much cash
I bought my '03 with 59k on it for $16k bone stock. If you really want it like stated above blue book is $10.5k go no higher.

Well cheap stigma aside, the Evolution is holding value and has proven to be reliable and a top performer at any price.

Sometimes you do have to "pay to play". If you don't like the price, don't buy it. But if you don't find it at the price you like, the market might be higher than what you have/want to pay.

I own an EVO X MR, and love it. Best car I have ever owned. But my Eclipse GSX is a fun project car. Cheap speed and fun to play with. Doesn't compete with the EVO, but fun to have an EVO lite and the parts are cheaper than Evos.

To the op: good luck with your search!

Not all Evo owners are retarded, but the ones that are, are really bad and give a horrble reputation to the rest. Sometimes it's so bad that I'm ashamed to be being associated with any of them and wish I was back in a DSM. The ones that can't recognize the significance of DSM are truely lame. The ones who think their Evo is far superior and think their used parts are coated in 24k gold are the ones that irk me the most! I think there are two kind of Evo owners too; there are Evo owners who came from DSM's, and Evo owners who owned other cars and are retarded.

Exactly. All the evos I've seen that are stock, with 90000 or so miles on them are going for 18000 to 19000 or more, that's for a 2005 and such. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't pay that much for a used car with that many miles and that old. If it was a 2009 or so, then yea. It just irks me how some Evo owners do overcharge for their stock parts.

But I apologize if I offended anyone and made it seem like I lumped you all into a group. Not all of you, just most.:D

Buy it!!! Offer 8k thou!!

I'd love to if I didn't have my truck to pay off first....and if only the front bumper was scratched, or dented LOL.

I can understand how these cars keep their value, but geez. I only complain though because I own a broken down junked out 1g and am used to finding "bargains" LOL. Big numbers...they...they scare me....
