I'm their neighbour :D havent been in there due to new job, work 12hrs a day.
By, time I get off they're closed :( but I have everything weekend off. It'll be my home away from home besides work. LOL

Been pricing stuff from their site. Good prices, Just as long there is free replacement Life Time Warranty on the sticker, it doesnt matter to me about the brand name.

Corrections, made. I was tired when posting this on 5th.

You guys should look into harbor frieghts, stud welder its actually a dent puller. Correct method of dent repairs instead of bondo.

I'm getting one pretty soon and would make a good addition in the box.

I love hf. I'm there a lot. What do you guys think about their 90 amp mig welder? Like mentioned earlier. I want to learn how to weld. At least mig at the moment.

I find I'm at Harbor Freight at least once a week, when they have some good sales it's pretty hard to beat. While half the stuff I've got has been junk and broke after the first time I used it, the prices for some specialized tools is neat. When I need something quality I usually haul over to get some Craftsman tools.

El Cuervo are you talking about the 90amp gas-less flux welder? Its decent for steel. I can't weld aluminum or stainless. If your doing like body panels or exhaust work it's fine. I own one. Only thing to do is upgrade the wire an tip to a Lincoln wire an tip. It flows both .030 an .035 well.

I have my eye on a orange low-profile 2 ton jack that I can get for around $50 w/coupon since I'm getting tired of using my little compact jack that doesn't even get under my car without lifting it first with a scissor jack. (Yea you know what i'm talking about.)
I just went in expecting to pick up that same one for $100 and it rung up for only $60! It worked like a charm once I got it under my car. Sits lower than even some scissor jacks and raises way higher than your typical jack. I would definitely suggest this jack while it's on sale.

I did the same to mine also. If you hard wire a large capacitor from a washing machine in it you can go up to 1/16th steel and get fairly good penetration on the material for a decent weld. . Welding aluminum is a major no-no with this welder even with a good spoolgun. The wire speeds are very inconsistant for proper aluminum mig welding. You need a way to protect the weld with alum also. Unless they make a flux core. Highly doubt though..

All in all. 90 for the welder 40 for the capacitor and 25 for Lincoln Firepower or Hobart wire and tips is a pretty good deal.

I am a fan of harbor Freight. I have the toolbox, same as Paul does, with the top part, great product. I have HF sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, air tools (be sure to get the Earthquake series), and many others. Great products for the price. I use them almost daily with no issues.

Ya. I gotta say the only benefit to working there is I get most of my stuff for free. I got my 2ton fordable shop crane for free because a guy returned it because the ram jack didn't have any fluid an wasn't holding it's position. Also got my welder for free because it was missing the flux core spool that came with it.

I went to harbor Freight for the first time two weeks ago and literally spent about an hour just walking like a zombie with my mouth open looking at everything that I need, I was like a kid in a candy store. Prices were perfect for everything.

Rotary Tool Kit - 80 Piece Set

I fount this for cutting -AN hoses, im going to buy it tomorrow.

Just my experience the first time I went there for some small tool. Came out with a few hundred dollars worth of stuff. I had to stop looking at their flyer in my e-mail too, LOL.

BUT, definitely be smart about it. They are nice enough for the occasional user, but I don't know if I would buy some of these things for my every day, use all the time stuff.

Hey technical, thank you very much. So what mig welder is good for aluminum?? I would like to weld aluminum but I want to stick with mig instead of tig. Too expensive. Unless I stick with steel for some intake piping.

I definitely wouldnt get a torque wrench from there. We use all of those pittsburgh tools at work. I see broken wrenches everwhere.

El Cuervo you need pure argon gas for a good clean weld so any that use gas, a 110 or 120 really isnt strong enough for a mig to weld it with. So the 220 with gas hook up MIG / Flux Wire Welder with Wheels - 120 Amp this one isn't bad I've played with them alot. I like aluminum rods with oxy-acetylene the best tho.

cookmeup272 the normal torque wrench no I would stay far away from but they have a digital torque adptor that's spot on with my OEM 1/2 torque wrench

I just bought 5000 in snap on tools and a box. I got everything half off thru school so I actually got around 10000 in all.

Thanks technical. So the 90amp can weld steel pipe for intakes and throttle body elbow flanges and such?

Ya the 90 will do that no problem. Hell it will do cast which is a very hard thing to weld, as long as you kno what your doing you'll be fine. It's great for learning they also have a 90 amp arc welder that is good for exhaust work an stuff.

A welder is next on my list too.

I love harbor freights! I went there today to buy a 3/4" and 1/2" torque wrench for $11.99 each, regular price is close to $40. Last week I picked up a 2 ton shop crane for $159 w/ coupon since my 1 ton's boom was a little to short for my dad's project. I have my eye on a orange low-profile 2 ton jack that I can get for around $50 w/coupon since I'm getting tired of using my little compact jack that doesn't even get under my car without lifting it first with a scissor jack. (Yea you know what i'm talking about.)

Link preeze.

I'm so happy fathers day is coming up. Getting ready to go tool shopping at harbor freight! Looking for low floor jacks. Any recommendations?
How's the one that Paul posted. Any reviews for those who have one.
