So I picked the pinion seal up from advanced and got started on the car. Started taking pics to do a writeup and such as I removed the drive-shaft and what do ya know. Looked like the wrong seal... Being Sunday I really didn't want to risk having her on the lift and no pinion seal in sight. Might have had to get it from a dealer and who knows how long that would take. Can't have a car taking up a bay when the week starts.

I've decided to have the dealership take car of this, but I'll be providing the fluids of course. Here's some pictures of the failed attempt. :)

Does the pinion seal go in the transfer case or outside of it?
