haha wow. so whats the story behind this?
Congratz phunny! im glad you are better and you can drive.
Yay!! Hoorah for driving again! Be safe
Ahh the story. Well I was going through a ruff time(new baby, horrid divorce and just more drama). So my outlet is working out, biking, running etc. I had just finished a 2 hour workout and decided I was going to go for a fast paced 8 mile run but I had a horrid headache. I took a decent amount of aspirin(I NEVER take meds) and headed outside. Did I mention it was "high noon" and hot.
So after about 3 miles I started feeling like crap. 5 miles in I felt like crap and my vision was starting to fail and balance was all screwy. My buddy was like "we're going back to the house man" so we ran home. I laid on the for for awhile and then felt like I had to pee. Went to the bathroom and nothing would come out... As I walked out of the bathroom I collapsed and was taken to the ER where they had pretty much said there was nothing they could do(my buddy and all the doctors told me this later).
Apparently my body had just shut down from dehydration, aspirin and brain trauma. After working on me for about 6 hours they finally started getting some results and eventually got my kidneys and other systems up and running again. I woke up in the ICU the next day and was surprised at what happened next. EVERY single doctor and nurse that had worked on me came to visit. The could not believe that I wasn't "brain dead." Of course the tests began after that , I got so poked, prodded, tested I almost threw myself out the window. Well during the brain tests, I failed most of them and had a lot of damaged brain tissue(Fighting has always been my sport and I've done it for years....) so I tried explaining it was probably normal. Well they said with as much damage as I had there is NO POSSIBLE way that I haven't had seizures, vision problems and balance issues before that...
Well they took my license and have tortured me with tests for the last year until they would clear me to drive and return to work. But I'm free and clear now . But any more hits to the head and it would most likely paralyze/kill me. So part of my decision of buying a DSM was to celebrate and give me something to do in my spare time.
I hate to be an Ahole Charlie, but ahh,,Shouldn't you have at least kept hydrated? Espcially working out and on hot sunny days that you will be outside.Isn't hydration thr first rule of thing you must do on a daily basis?
But I'm glad to hear that your ok..And I'm also not going to make any jokes..Because that would definatly warrant Ahole status..But I'm glad to see you back in the driving game and healthy..
