With Rota, don't get them off Ebay. I've hit shit that bent tie-rods with my Sentra with the Boosts on it. Rim perfectly straight, the tie rod was V shaped after. I use to rallycross with my Sentra.

I dont think there is necessarily a "best" rim, just what you prefer as far as looks, and the lighter the better.
High end wheel manufacturers worldwide just shed a tear.

China cheered.

;)

I agree with your point if you add "in your price range".

Not sure what you meant by that exactly but oh well.

And from my previous post as far as "lighter the better" goes, to clarify, you want to be sensible about how light the wheel is. Knowing that after a certain weight the manufacturer is just skimping on materials, either that or they are using something other than aluminum alloy, such as titanium.

But for a budget rim you probably arent looking at Titanium.

Cast v forged, metal quality...there is such a thing as "good wheels". ;)

I would expect them to be new, however the materials and manufacturing process will be differnet between the genuine wheel and the knock off Rotas.

That is scary. I wonder how what kind of whp it took to twist those spokes? Hopefully more than your average consumer? Although that still wouldnt be acceptable. Sheesh...

As much as I rip on knock-offs, I've seen high end wheels do the same thing.

For every broken Rota, there's a million that are fine (this is not a factual number)

The stock Evo 8 rims are NICE as well as cheap usually.

I see them on craigslist with decent tires for 400 bucks all the time. The last time I saw some I wanted to say screw bills I'm getting them but reality got the best of me :(.

They're aluminum correct? They shouldn't weigh too much...
