Alright guys, just thought I would hop on here and share some info about my new car. She is a 1990 Tsi AWD with insanely low miles on it. A friend of mine had this car just sitting in a poll barn for maybe 10 years. It has not been running In roughly 13 years as it dropped a valve and nobody fixed it. Anyways Its been an on going project while my 2g waits for parts. Oh did I mention, Its getting repainted?

From what you can actually see in the pics it looks to be in pretty decent shape.

I would consider it as having no rust. Its been a Michigan car all its life and there is literally no rust on the body or floors. Wheel wells are still spotless even. The only places that have rust is like the rear subframe and gas tank shroud And its just surface.

Looks like the color is champagne, If so keep it. Thats a great color :thumb: my GST is champagne

It has 64k on the ticker. Has not ran in roughly 12 years. It dropped a valve at 64k and had not been fixed since. Color is already chosen. Some might hate but Its going to look pretty awesome. As of right now I have the majority of wet sanding done and it should get its first primer hopefully weds.

The engine bay was cleaned with purple power and alot of scrubbing. Happy with out it came out for sure. Also I plan to DD this car. Its getting an HTA 68 on a stock rebuild with Cams and link and obviously supporting fuel.
This picture is how she looked after several years sitting.

That's a shame that you plan on changing that color man, it's looks beautiful in that last pic.

Im sorry you think its a shame, Im just not a fan of this color. I couldnt let this car sit any longer while mice chewed stuff apart and pissed on the floor. The color change is being done correctly so it will still be a beautiful car.

Another black car, lame. Make it Lamborgotti Fasterossa Red.

eh im sure it'll look nice, not the color i'd go with especially a 1ga Talon. but oh well. be sure to post pics

Black cars = secks
They are a bi*** to keep clean, and they show every flaw. But damn, when you clean them up, no other color can compare.

Great find man. I'm glad to see another DSM will be back on the road!

Yeah man, Black is by far my favorite color on I think just about any car out there. I know its hard to keep clean but I am pretty fussy about how my stuff looks so it should be good. And im glad someone can look at it as another DSM on the road.

Well just a little update on this project and how its progressing. The car is now ready for its 1st primer. Block is back from the machine shop, the HTA is ordered along with Injectors and pump. So nice to have a new job to spend money!

Agreed, Pandas are the best color combo. They're the epitome of the black top, color bottom scheme.

There is way too many panda's. You dont see many crazy black paint jobs on them though. I have found 1 nice black one thus far.
