New guy from Kansas City. Just got a 90' Eclipse GSX. I am still trying to figure out exactly what I've got!! It pulled hard when I test drove it, so,,, I bought it! The owner's dad said he took out the boost controller to limit it to 18 PSI because without, it was too fast for his son. I put the controller back on, and at about 28 PSI it cut fuel. I'm not sure if it did that because I am using 91 instead of 93? Anyway great sight. I am following this sites recommendations, tune up stuff, belts, fluids, etc.. I just want to keep it running as is for now. I promise myself I will be content with the speed and power this car currently has! I'll enjoy somebody else's work to go crazy!! (I'm a former EVO owner/addict!)

You need to read up before you start beating on that car. You are gonna blow it up like that. Don't just turn the controller way up as soon as you buy it without even knowing what you have. You could have done some serious damage. 93 octane should be the only thing you are putting in that car.

yes only run 93 in it.and turning the boost up that high without knowing what else is done you will blow it up fast

Use 93 and def don't mess w that boost controller! Your gonna blow that car up quick... Especially running 28psi w out knowing what you got..!

I've got a buddy that did the same thing to his 92' TSI, and after a week, it was retired to his driveway.
No bueno on that high boost.

well welcome and be sure to look the site over and learn form it, its what im going to do so when i do run hard i dont have to worry about not being able to drive it after that. cant wait to see it though!
