So I am running into a dilemma now with what to do next with my 96 Gs-T. Currently, power wise, I only have bolt-on modifications. 3" Turbo Back, Intake, FMIC, BoV, Ignition etc. I just purchased V3 with an epromed ECU and a Wideband to come in. Now what I am coming down to is what to do next, I am about to go purchase some 850 CC injectors and start getting the prep work and mods for the MHI16g I want to end up putting in this baby.
But with maintenece and from what I have read theres more prep work to be done for it. From what I read when upgrading a turbo generally speaking, its best to replace the headgasket due to more pressure and strain on the engine. Now I was wondering would it be a good idea to just switch out the headstuds to some ARP headstuds?

Let me remind you its a 7bolt block with 150k Miles on it compression is good though, all the miles were DD miles I bought the car from a dealer and literally from everything I have done so far I can tell nothing has been touched unless someone knows how to make parts look used after being replaced haha.

Another question I have is how important is your wheels being cambered and aligned? Like I understand the Tire wear and what not but how vital is it towards the rest of the car. Currently, after dropping the car and adding new wheels, the back wheels camber a whole lot and I have already done a camber kit to straighten the back ones a bit but they still slant a good 5-10 degrees or so. Just curious on the amount of strain last thing I want to do is hurt my baby.

Basically What I am asking is what should I invest into next? I am at a stand still towards suspension or engine mods and getting everything ready to support the new turbo or fixing the current problems with my suspension aka (outer tie rods, strut mounts, rear Sway bar), OR go towards buying Injectors, Fuel Pump, AFPR, Turbo.

Thanks all for the help

IDK, Im not very experienced with all this, but if I were in your situtation I would make sure those wheels sit right first.

Buy the fuel pump and Afpr first, you could actually install those first, run the car for awhile and make sure you dont have any problems first.
The thing about installing all the performance pieces at once is that it makes it harder to actually figure out the problem.
IDK all im saying is go with the maintenance related problems first, then smaller modifications so the car isnt overwhelmed.

Just my newbi 2 cents

Do you know the difference between 5-10 degrees? Thats like saying you live in the ghetto of oakland but really live Tracy. Big difference.

I would do suspension first for sure. It's tempting to spend money on parts to make your car faster, but its definitely more important to be safe, which is why I would buy suspension. And 5-10 degrees of camber is absolutely astonishing. 5 degrees is way to much try to get that down to 1.5-2 degrees and your tires will thank you.

no point to go fast if you cant stop brake upgrade!

I have actually considered that due to spirited runs through back roads the brakes got hot reeeealy fast

Good point my bad retarded mistake on me tried to draw out a graph in my head and some how align it up to see the degree difference and what not. Ill take a picture and post it up here so you can actually see the camber. BTW Tracy isn't as ghetto as oakland but its really bad. I had a gun pulled on me cause I accidently cut a guy off. Actually I take that back oaklands more ghetto Tracy has all the Tweakers.

Yet again sorry on the degree thing super off my dumbness on the part. Also after I take the pic and post it up thats the camber after using 4/5 bolts from a rear camber kit just an fyi I honestly find it drastic because people spend more money than I am trying to fix just to make their cars look like that. I honestly like the look as a style but functionality is horrible and dumb.

Well its not going to be overwhelmed in the sense that after I install each and every mod I plan to run the car SUPER lightly for the first 300-600 miles to make sure everything's fine with a little bit of Umph here and there. The thing is I don't see the point in just getting the afpr or just the pump if I don't have any mods that make them matter. Its like installing a new turbo on your car when you don't have ANY of the mods to utilize it. Ya know?
