I left mine off...the new bumber I put on my rs doesn't even have the indentation where the emblem should go...so I left it off an it looks really slick...but black if ## gonna put one on.

I wish the only thing I had to worry about with my DSM is what color the emblem on the front bumper should be.

I'd say shave it off. Or don't bother with it at all.

Red should look good then. That's the oem color if I am correct right? For the 2G eclipses? I wouldn't have really bothered with it too much.
