Painted the stock swirlies with some black Plasti Dip paint, and hit the calipers with some Red VHT paint. Then I removed the rear wing, and am in the process of filling in the holes. Likely gonna have to weld on some counter weights on the hatch since it'll fly open now without the weight of the wing and wiper assembly.

How would it fly open if the latch keeps it down. Not to mention the glass weights more the wing/wiper motor ever would.

Install rebuilt transmission. New brake pads. And painted the valve cover to match the car. And finally installed the black suede headliner. Waiting to reupholster the seats now.

Uh....I'm not talking literally smart guy.

When I hit the latch from the driverside, or unlock it from the rear lock, the hatch will open on it's own VERY VERY rapidly now because the weight of the wing and motor aren't there anymore. It's also more of a bi*** to close now without the weight, so by welding some counter weights on the back, and can get it close to what it was before, so it's a nice SMOOTH open and close.

I FINALLY finished the electrical part of my popup conversion!

I changed the hydraulics for the trunk so i dont have to hold it up with a 2x4 anymore, re-attached my front bumper and cleaned out the interior a bit and promised her tomorrw will be the day she gets her new e316g put in. Hopefully....

Ordered new NGK spark plug wires from Summit to replace my old Magnacores. I really ought to start buying from some of our great supporting vendors, but I have done business with Summit for years and suppose I owe a loyally to them as well.

1) Cleaned and finished painting the brakes
2) Finished converting over to full black interior.
3) Finished repairing front bumper.
4) Went car shopping again at Lowe's and Home depot for most of the stuff.
5) Polished the intercooler.

Started off by wiping off a large, and I mean LARGE splat of bird poo off of my driver head light. It managed to get behind it under the fender too...

After that, I removed the turbo and manifold assembly to wrap both the FP manifold and o2 housing. Then I installed a used OEM alternator to replace the failing Autozone one. Ended up breaking the handle off of the dipstick so I had to epoxy it back on too. That's about it for today.

Did the timing belt and spark plugs in the wifes galant, tie rods(inner and outer) in the dsm, pulled the trans in the dsm and installed new 3-4 synchro's/gears/hub & slider. The 91-92 gears sure are tough, but eat synchro's for lunch shifting over 7,000 rom's.

Changed my GS sticker to a GS-T one :hellyeah:

also test fit my new o2 housing

then i sat in the driver seat and made loud bov noises wishing it wasnt on jack stands

Finally got some really nice weather today (I live in NY) so I washed, cleaned and waxed it. It always sucks when you haven't cleaned your car for a while and when you do you notice imperfections that weren't there before (mostly from careless a**holes parking next to you I'm sure)

My injectors, fuel pump, Innovative LC-1, and DSMLink V3 all came today, problem is, I'm too busy seeding to install any of it!! Aaargh!!

Drove it.

That's why i always park the further away i can from other cars.
