so i took my gsx down to walker mitsubishi to get it worked on, the timing belt was loose sometimes and not others. so i take it in, they say they will fix that and the oil leak for me. then i ask them to look at the radiator fan to see if they could fix it. which they said yes they could. so i call them about every 3 days to see how its going to which they say "waiting on parts", then the next time"got all the parts, now we need to install them." and i call back a few days later and it would be "still waiting on some parts, be done friday". it went on like this for a month and 3 days.... they call me today and say its all done. YAY! so i go down there to get it, pay my $2065. then go get in it..... battery dead. oh no biggie, my dads mustang is right there, jump it, ok cool! now theres this weird ticking noise, i shrug it off and drive to Smash burger to eat. it dies 2 times going there. go to take it back and hear something that sounded like running over thousands of rocks, oh great no power steering, sure enough the belts snapped.... now i get there, hand them the keys, my dads screaming at them, and we leave. what a great day.... :toobad: sorry had to vent to someone, thanks for listening!

<<<-- Not anymore!

ANYWAYS, what the hell did they order that took a month to arrive???

Why do people take their cars to dealerships? I don't think i've ever heard a successful dealership experience... They either screw something up or they charge too much

Get yourself a good trustworthy mechanic. Those things you mentioned are pretty simple you could have fixed them yourself with the help of google and youtube. I'm not trying to sound rude we've all been there myself included just take it as a learning experience. PS you should tell them to cut the price down since they did such a s&^% job

Wow I'm sorry to hear such terrible news! I'm curious also as to what they "did" to fix the belt tension. Sounds to me like the might have made it a bit to tight for it to snap! Well hopefully you will pick up a set of wrenches and learn how to DIY. It's honestly the best way to go man and save your self and your dsm from a lot of pain and suffering

And the timing belt slack is normal... :ohdamn:

this is not normal (pic)

and believe me i would have fixed it myself but my gf consumes every minute of my life. and i didn't really want to mess with timing, kinda scares me, LOL

2 GRAND?!? Sheesh. You could have rebuilt the whole engine for that... probably less. I too am curious to see what took a month and 2K to fix...

I have 2 black cars in my avatar... One import and one domestic. See, they can get along.
