I have a 93 eagle talon non turbo es.

After some recent transmission work I had the wonderful expreience of finding out that my 1g talon has a 7 bolt engine..... yay. :ohdamn:

So my question is, I need to do a timing belt here in a few thousand miles and I don't quite know how to order. I planned on going through STM to get the kit. So should I order a kit for the 2g? Should I talk to them? Thanks fellas

I thought the 7 bolts didn't come to play til 1995? It's definitely the 2.0 though

1g 7 bolts aren't the same as 2g 7 bolts. 6 bolts were only in earlier 1g's.

I did a little more searching and I found the kit for the 1g 7 bolt on their site so I think i'm good now. Guess I was confused because I thought that all the 1g's came with 6 bolts. Damn... learn something new all the time. thanks fellas

Good luck to you 300hpbound! And don't be too alarmed by the 7 bolt 4g63? Its still a great motor! They are a little more prone to crankwalk but its still a 4g63! Its still wayyyyyyyy less likely to crankwalk than the 420a 7 bolts.
