i love virgin cars... i changed the timing belt on mine and it had one little itty bitty valve cover leak... that was a sign that told me this thing has never seen any other boost then stock...

Touche sales man touche. But i dont believe id be taking that car off roading any time. It would be neet to see an eclipse or talon off road built vehicle though.

Good luck to you. What are your goals and parts you think your going to add? What work needs done to it?

i have alot of plans for the car. right now im just fixing everything. since i posted this i found several problems. a half ass cob job exhaust. rats nest of wires under the dash. 3 or 4 shorts i havent figured out yet. wipers and moon roof dont work. so i am assuming they are in the same circuit. more boost leaks than i can even count. that one im confused about. idk how a full stock system can have so many boost leaks unless nothing was done right. the boost gauge was by far not hooked up right. the a/f gauge again not hooked up right. exhaust leaks in 5 different places. possibly a bad head gasket. not sure yet going to run a few tests to be sure. clutch slave is shot. painted interior. a headliner out of a sebring that doesnt fit the gsx very well. front brakes are completely gone. and when i say gone i mean the back sides of the rotors are down to the ribs cylinders to the calibers blown the seals out and the pads. well what pads? rear brakes need replacing.
im sure in the next few days i will find more. most of what i listed i fixed or will have fixed in the next few days. ive been having so much fun ROFL tracing all the wires in the car to find the shorts. and when i say fun i mean :banghead: but despite all of that im still very happy with the buy. the engine runs amazing and with all the boost leaks now fixed i can actually feel the mighty 10 lbs. one thing that has me confused is i hear a ticking while the engine is at idle or when you hold it at any rpm. it doesnt sound like its internal. sounds more like a ten year old with a baseball card in the wheels. of course as the rpm gets higher the baseball card ticks faster.
my plans for the car. haha well those have change in the last few days. now i just want the problems fixed. maybe after that i might do a mild build. after everything im fixing i would be happy with 12s haha

Very nice!! If you got it for the right price and are able to fix everything then you'll be years and thousands ahead with more money for those mods to put you in the 12's :) good luck and hope you enjoy boost :D

im loving the boost haha. the problems are nothing compared to what i had to do with the 420a. right now after all the repairs i have to do i think all i can afford to do is 12s. maybe this winter i might pull the engine and do a build and possibly push for more. but time will tell and will also bring up anymore problems if i havent found all of them yet. hopefully i already did. time will tell.

The ticking you are talking about is probably lifter tick. I listen to mine tick all the time...

its not from internal. i know what your talking about though. i followed the sound down to the the casing of the timing belt. below the cams. if i end up having to replace the head gasket, unless i havent figured it out yet. im sure i will than

Looks wise it looks alright except for the stock wheels need an upgrade. Good luck with the car.

in time i will. i got the car running real nice today. still a million wires and pigtails i yet to have found a home for. actually can someone give me a pin layout of the ecu or something that will tell me what all of the wires going from the ecu or any around the engine bay do? if so that would be a huge help.

4 spare rims and tires, broken trim, faded paint, hazy headlights, monster truck status, stock 7 bolt motor...

Id hardly say you took the right step in the world. Best of luck bruh.

considering what i paid for the car. the steelies i dont mind atleast it had wheels on it. the trim isnt a big deal i can replace that. headlights i have a extra set monster truck status, well i do have a problem with that haha. and a stock 7 bolt. all the more reason why i wanted it. also the fact there is no rust on the car. factory paint is still under the car. im happy with the find. 1500 for a clean stock gsx thats a 95 so emisions are outa the question along with any cel. factory eprom im happy with it

After you get it running 100% you should do all the freebie mods in the stage 1 path on the site

thank you. ill deff take a look at it.

thats exactly what im looking for. thank you
:thumb:

Clear up the headlights, and get top of side skirt there on the door, along with wheels..And she will be a nice loking car..

in time all of that will be taken care of. im more concerned about getting everything running perfect. im pretty close just a few things i need to do now

Nice car. With all those problems I bet it was modified but then put back to stock to sell. You should check the headgasket before you do anything else cause if it's bad it all has to come apart anyways.

head gasket is good. it might have been at some point in time. but as of right now the car is stock set aside the ebay intake and a fart can. i have most of the wire issues worked out. going to do the brakes tomorrow and put a new slave cyl on the car than its road ready

nice find man, forget the negative comments!! Its what most call a project!! Not everyone can come across garage kept stock dsm's, at least the motor is stock and not abused like most kids do to them these days!

I would be happy with this one, im wanting a 2g bad, and ill deal with one like this cause i know ill restore it back to normal!! ;) Im actually looking for a 2gb Talon but this is a hard find!

good luck with everything, and welcome in to the world of boost! :pP
