I just got done installing moog ball joints on my lower front control arms. After I pressed the ball joint into place and installed the snap ring I noticed there is bout a 3 mm gap in between the bottom of the snap ring and the top of the control arm mating surface. The balljoint is tight and properly pressed but I'm worried that it might come loose since the snap ring really isn't appying any pressure? Is this common with after market ball joints? Will it be ok?

Hey thanks for the reply boostd!! I ended up taking the snap ring off of the old ball joint and stretched it around the base of the new ball joint to fill the gap and then I back pressed the balljoint just enough to put a tiny bit of pressure on the snap rings. I haven't installed the control arms just yet because I'm still worried about the set up, but since you say its a pretty common occurance with moog balljoints I guess I'm ok. I tend to overthink things sometimes?
