Whenever I start my car, the first 5 minutes or so of driving, it bogs and has less power then normal. If I floor it when driving though(The first few min), it will go as fast as normal. This issue just seems to happen at partial throttle until it reaches normal operating temp. It feels like turbo lag almost. Also it misses once and awhile too(until it reaches normal temp). Seems to run ok once I drive it for awhile.
-new o2 sensor
-tried different maf
-new coolant temp sensor
-not really any boost leaks
-newer(ish) ngk plugs and wires

My car has recently been having the same issue. And i haven't figured anything out yet. Anyone got any idea's to this besides doing a blt?

Also forgot ive done countless blt's with no negative results. but some days it just runs like crap when its cold. until the car gets nice and warm.

So did mine before. I would floor it do a couple good pulls and it would run a lot smoother and pick up quicker. I'm doing a full rebuild I'll see if it does it again.
Im thinking it's a boost leak somewhere and when it warms up something expands and blocks the boost leak.

You sound like your not warming up your car? Do you start up and then just drive..

i always let my car warm up for about 10 mins. but every now and then i get in it crank it sit for a sec then take off. but it does it when i let it warm up sometimes. just not as often and nowhere near as bad. LOL got any idea's?

so by that, your saying all dsm's should run bad until they warm up? My car was running fine, when it was cold, then is now having this issue, so that why I dont know what the problem is.

You shouldn't be beating on your car when it is cold anyways.

My car does the same thing till it warms up but I haven't found anything wrong with my car so i just deal with it. Just let it warm up.

Exactly.

When the car is cold you WILL get some lag in throttle that feels like turbo lag.. Same as if you have the A/C on.. Just let it warm up..
