Ok you guys i know ill get flamed for not using the search button properly but i just recently purchased a FP16G EVO3 from FORCED PERFORMANCE and i paid the extra $95 to have them ported. Only question i have now is how do i verify that they actually did port it? like where can i messure it and all? I just feel like what if i paid extra for nothing as ive been screwed over before of stuff and just have that sad feeling you know? I will try and post pics its just im deployed and this computer dont allow alot of websites :( . And what parts should they have ported?

AWW man so they wouldnt have ported the wastegate flapper area that i actually need and wanted ported?

I thought them knowing that the 16g have the boost creep issues and all that they would have ported the flapper area for sure, main reason why i paid the extra $95, i didnt choose for it to be clipped as i read that not needed just mainly needed it ported and was really hoping they did it :(

Remove the wastegate actuator so you can open the flapper and see if they opened up the wastegate outlet at all. I don't think the stock wastegate actuator allows for the flapper to open a full 90 degrees, so it doesn't surprise me they didn't port that area out.

I can tell you that FP does a hell of a job porting their turbing housings..What they did should cut down on creep, but then theres always the other way of porting..Just in case it still has horrible boost creep..

Did you also opt for the 34mm wg flapper?..And take a look under the flapper and see if they opened up that port..They probably did but, it don't hurt to take a look..

Nice addition the peepers port..

Well im deployed and have the wife sending me pics and all so that kinda sucks. Well yeah i know they proabably did a good job but like i said i know the main part that everyone talked about i was hoping they had ported, so the part they did port will help some? Well ill be running the ebay o2 dump housing i bought anyway hopefully it will all work out, either way if i dont like the set up after i finish with the supporting fuel mods ill sell it all and go with a fp3052 for sure. I just went this route since it seemed that everyone likes it and seems to be the best bang for the buck, and well i have a small 16g that messed up thanks to the autoshop but whatever atleast now i got a new turbo and im glad i bought it. kinda as far as choosing the flapper i didnt know we could choose. I bought it from their website so whatever it comes with is what i have just added the port job to it

Well thanks for all yalls help, i guess its something i will have to find out and mess with when i get back for sure so ill pull up this information and i know ill proabably be asking again but will continue on searching and all. thanks so much again for this info very helpful.

The MHI actuator never allows the flapper to open more than 3/8" or so. This is enough to control boost on a car with the proper amount of exhaust restriction- it's not until you start removing restriction from the exhaust system that it begins to creep uncontrollably. Anyone who ports their housing in order to allow the flapper to open a full 90* is wasting their time and their money on carbide bits...unless the reason you're porting the housing as such allows you to fit the tool into the wastegate hole itself better without being restricted by the flapper.

With the o2 dump you should not see creep, ever.

Well i posted up a pic on my photo section of the ebay downpipe and ebay o2 dump that ima install with my fp16gevo3 and wife even bolted it up and it all mates up properly, so yump my car might be a bit loud when i get on the gas LOL,

yeah its going to be loud :) you wont recognize your car if this is the first time you are running a 16g over the small T25. you are now in a different league . have fun :rocks:

i hope i wont see you in the OOPS i blew up my engine section soon , keep it safe :nono::cool::cool:

good luck

LOL well im running a small 16g right now had issues but ya ill proabably be in the OOOPPPSS i blew my engine section soon LOL, Nah jk well depending on how this deployment turns out i should be able to atleast rebuild the 7bolt if not swap in a built 6bolt and transmission as well as supporting fuel mods but if not then ill keep the boost under 15psi and either way itll be more of a cruise car and carshow car i guess till i have enough money to really build her up properly you know. thanks

No and no. Porting the wastegate actuator area will not affect boost creep/performance. Back in the day it made sense but now no one does this because it's simply a waste of time.

EDIT: oops, I'm waaaaay late to this party..

Well I did buy mine from forced performance directly and I had to pay $95 extra dollars for them to port it so it was not free, sorry guy u got wrong info from somewhere, if not then I just donated $95 to FP LOL aren't I just sweet
