All you guys out there that have put Prothane mounts in, is there a sequence to putting the mounts back on the car.
I have had my engine out for a year now and finally got it ready to go back in, but the front and rear roll mounts won't line up. The front will if I torque on the mount a little, but the rear one is not going to be so easy.
When I took my old ones out the front roll rubber was way off center where the bolt hole was and the Prothane one of course is perfectly centered. Could this be throwing my alignment out for the rear one.
Thanks for the help. Can't wait to start plugging this thing back together and get it running again.:hellyeah:

Ok I get the hint:sosad:

I'll figure it out.:hmm:

It took me a few long hours. The back one was a pain in the a@$. I ended up unbolting all other mounts then bolting the rear mount in first. Then it was the driver side and then front. You will need help as you align the rear you need to halfway align the side so that it will slide into place. Remember petroleum Jelly is your friend.LOL

Are you sure you have the corect mounts for the car?

5 spd: Front ~ Bracket 347, Rear ~ 195

Or

Auto: Front ~ Bracket 506, Rear ~ 793

It's not the easiest thing to do when the mounts are new... I never had a problem with just bolting them in an dropping in the motor. Thought the side mount I had to Hammer in last... Now Years later they come in an out easy.

But, they will go in with-out anything that could degrade the urethane :)

When I installed my inserts, I started with the rear and transmission mounts. The flexibility of the other old ones made it that there was no prying or anything. Just simply bolted back together.

If I were you, try to get the rear and transmission mounts in before any others are in. It's a lot easier to pry the front and drivers side mounts.

Thanks Guys:thumb:

Yeah I have the correct mounts. They're the same ones that came off the car:p

Anyway, I seem to remember reading somewhere, that the L bracket mount has to go on last. So I took it off and loosened the passenger side one and muscled the front and rear into place, then got the L bracket in and PRESTO they are all on. major PITA but got it in the end.
