Okay So I have The CX Racing Hard Intercooler Piping, Walbro 190LPH Stock side mount, and I have a 2.5 exhaust I got a 3 inch Intake Pipe with 1g maf and K&N . My friend has a 93 Talon That is completely stock besides his 255lph fuel pump... i lined up with him the other day and His car was going quite a bit faster.... i guess my boost was at 10 pounds and his was about 15 but hes untuned so i don't think that does much and I can only turn my boost about 14lbs or i get fuel cut for some reason Anyone Know what I got going on

You should be able to run 14 psi easily stock. If I was you I would check for boost leaks. That is seriously your most likely cause of fuel cut at such low boost.

I dont have an indle surge or anything, It doesnt seem like i have any boost leaks  I guess I can always check I just work alot and havent really had time to get into.... Would that be a reason hes going faster i mean were both pretty stock

Is your car running in great shape? no boost leaks? good compression? new spark plugs/wires? If you have the basics covered, check his car out and see if he is running more boost with a boost controller, 5 psi will make a noticeable difference in a direct comparison. Also, is your fuel pump rewired?

My car is running pretty good, I havent done a compresson test but i mean I just changed my plugs a few days ago after I got walked on by his talon... I just put some Mobil 1 Full Syn. oil and fiter I am going to change my thermostat and reseal my housing I noticed a minor little leak there but i mean I did notice a diffrence after doing oil/plugs but im sure new wires might help... I am thinking about getting all new vacuum Lines but I think thats going to be a pain to change

You might need a driver mod LOL
How's your driving. The shape of the car can play a factor in performance.
Imagine this, crappy molested engine, big16g with supporting mods. Healthy engine with t25 turbo and supporting mods.
t25 takes the win... bad comparison but you get the point.

so i just wanted to do a follow up, I put a new fuel pump housing in my car because I think it wasnt working properly, and I got a new thermostat and my timing was advanced 5degrees so i adjusted that and now my car is starting to run nice :hellyeah: im at 15psi right now my cut off is around 18-20ish im looking into bigger injectors and a 16g turbo now but first i wanna do a little TLC :thumb: My clutch system isnt doing so well

1. Boost Leak Test.
2. Compression Test/Leak Down Test.
3. Rewire Your Walbro Fuel Pump
4. ???
5. Profit

+2

Also how new are you plugs and wires? Also after doing the things listed above you should be able to run 14 psi. No problem..Driver error is can also kill your chances..And also if you staged before hand that might help next time..On the track..

well i think the fuel pump wasnt sealing very good on the fitting and wasnt getting a good connection so i think that was part of it but the main thing i think was the CAS... (cam angle senor) I adjusted and now my car seems to be running way better and has alot more power.... oh and I forgot that i have a 3inch exhaust but I had a 2.1/4 muffler on it... I went and put a Magna Flow 3inch muffler on it and BAM more power but since then now when i turn my key to start car it turns over for a sec and i have to wait for fuel... I think maybe now My Air/Fuel Ratio is off or something

...because you have a boost leak somewhere.
Anyone Know what I got going on
Sure- he's running more boost than you. More airflow = more power.

I also hope that by "lining up" with your buddy you were referencing at the drag strip.

no boost leaks my friend and i fixed this issue

and no i was not referencing to a drag strip, my friend's family owns a private air strip and no public access :thumb: saves me the 20$ so i guess its like a drag strip
